Introduction: The Womb is a professional recording studio located in a quiet neighborhood about 10 minutes south of downtown Austin, TX. The studio features Pro Tools HD, boutique outboard gear, experienced engineers and musicians, great sounding rooms, and tons of great instruments (both real and virtual). We also offer location recording up to 32 channels for all kinds of different events and have worked with Pitchfork and SPIN to record audio for multiple events during SXSW and ACL.
If you live outside of Austin and would like to spend some time recording at The Womb, we have sleeping accommodations for up to 6 people with a private bathroom and washer/dryer in the space above the studio. We offer this to out-of-town clients at no additional cost.
Starting in 2015, we'll also be offering voice-over and sound for picture services with up to 5.1 surround mixing. Please don't hesitate to contact us for any audio recording related needs.

The Womb is a fantastic recording studio that can capture your music the way you have always wanted to hear it. Reggie and Adam are stellar to work with, the studio has a great vibe, and the sound quality for the price point is hard to beat.
For our first record we tracked the instruments with a friend of ours at a different studio. When he suddenly had to go on the road, he pointed us to Reggie at The Womb. He knew he could trust Reggie to finish our record and make us sound our best. When it was finished I think he was right because the record sounds awesome! We felt so at home recording at The Womb we decided the best most logical choice would be to work with them again for our follow up. We are over halfway done and already the songs sound amazing, and we haven't even begun mixing anything yet. We should hopefully be done tracking all the vocals in the next few weeks and I'm so ready to hear how it sounds once Reggie puts the magic touch on them.
If I were to give any criticism it would be that Reggie and Adam can both be busy with their other musical ventures so some weekends aren't available. Not all, but some. Obviously this didn't stop us from working with them again and it definitely shouldn't stop you. Book in advance and be ready to play your best, you will be happy you recorded at The Womb.

The Womb was a great studio to get real work done. The engineers are ready to record and are experts with their gear. We were set up and tracking in no time. Mixing was a dream as well!

The Womb is top notch! Reggie is easy-going, accommodating, considerate, and to me, that's just as important as the superb sound he captures! It's where I plan to take all the artists I record with from here on!
