I hired DJ Calvin for our family reunion, and I couldn’t have made a better decision! He was very responsive during the planning process, ensured that we had everything we needed, and even met a last minute song request. We told him the genre of music we wanted and he played some hits. The music was appropriate for the audience (I had anxiety from a DJ that did the opposite once, which was embarrassing) I was very pleased with DJ Calvin’s choice of music for my traditional crowd. He was very professional but also personable. I’ve hired a few DJ’s for various reasons and he checked all of the boxes. Family members came to me afterwards and told me that he was “sooo good!”. Calvin went above and beyond for our wedding. From the very beginning, he was responsive and attentive to detail. He checked in several times leading up to the event to make sure we were on the same page. He kept our reception running smoothly and when it was time to dance he knew exactly what to do. All of our guests were on the dance floor the whole night- he played non stop hits the whole night. It was LIT. I’m still hearing from friends and family raving about our DJ. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are fair. The customer has to understand they are paying for my time, and the equipment is not cheap. I can definitely work with the party budget, but just talk to me and we can definitely work something out. I even offer payment plans
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do have a Masters degree so I am definitely a professional and understand how to carry myself accordingly and understand there is a time and place for everything.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started in college and from there I enjoyed it. It sounds bad as a DJ but I’m not your typical “music lover” but as a DJ I just really enjoy working with people and having the ability to get people to have fun through my playing music and just being an overall great host. I get an enjoyment from that.
