Introduction: I am certified and a Texas state licensed police/security dog trainer, and an internationally recognized Obedience/Behavior specialist for pet owners. Your dog learns all obedience commands; Come when called, Heel, etc. And for greater off-leash control all dogs are trained to come to the "Silent Whistle" Which they can hear up to a mile away Our 2 week Board & Train program solves all behavior problems, leash pulling, jumping, aggression, etc. Drop off your wild child, pick up your well behaved, best buddy at graduation. Training is videoed, so you watch as your dog learns, then use those video's, as a lifetime training reference, keeping your dog sharp. Training fee is made in 2 payments, $625 on drop off and $625 when picking your dog up. Watch my YouTube channel "Cappel Canine" for more training tips & videos. See my resume on my web site 'cappelcanine'.

Jäger is already listening so much better to both my husband and I and getting along with the other dogs. He is still my loving and crazy boy but now knows when it’s appropriate! Thank you to CarolAnn, Butch, and the rest of the team at Cappel Canine for the help!

We loved working with the team at Cappel Canine. They did such a great job with our Ruger. They took the time to show us how to assist with his training in person and on video. What a great experience. Would highly recommend.

I have so much to say about Murray’s time with Butch and the Cappel Canine team. This entire review says why we very much recommend entrusting your baby with Cappel Canine. This was our first Australian Shepard dog and like most people over this 14 months we got him during quarantine. I have some basic understanding of training and we watched a lot of dog training shows on TV so we thought we had a good understanding. We played outside with him, walked him and as soon as our local dog park opened we took him there to socialize him. Murray is very intelligent and patient, when he wants to do something or doesn’t want to do something. We were starting to have some issues with other dogs and we realized that we are going to need help because this was far beyond what we could handle. We searched all over the internet, thumbtack, groups..etc. We both came across Cappel Canine and my husband watched the videos, read as much as could on Butch and the training the facility. One of the videos talked about walking the dog and connecting the leash to the collar and why he prefers that. Can I just say we have spend over a $100 trying to find and harness, lead or whatever else that would help Murray not pull. I had carpal tunnel surgery earlier this year and I hadn’t been able to really walk him on my own because he pulls. My husband said let try it. We tried it and just a few moments of adjustments Murray doesn’t really pull. I can walk my dog again, by myself. We called that day and spoke with Butch and he told us what the training would look like and set Murray’s 2week stay training. I didn’t know what it would be like in regards to actually leaving Murray there. Drop off day was busy and there seemed to be a lot of moving pieces which made me nervous but the staff was very friendly and welcomed us and Murray (even thought Murray wanted nothing to do them, yet). They asked us more questions about Murray, home life and what we wanted them to focus on. I had to take Murray to kennel which would be his new home for 2 weeks because he would let anyone take his leash. He would hide. Even though it was really hard for me to leave him (I have never been away from Murray since we got him) I’m glad I got to take him to the kennel because I saw how spacious it was us, it’s covered and it has a back space with a cot for a bed. During the two weeks Butch sent us videos of Murray during some of his training, I had a call with him which made me feel so much better. During our conversations he was so insightful about Murray and made observation and comments that we hadn’t even talked about. We we picked him up from “camp” Butch went through all of Murray’s training with us and we got to practice it. We were completely blown away on all the things thought during those two weeks. We should be receiving our video today with all training so we can continue the work Butch started. What was a bonus was the bond Murray formed with Butch. We can’t thank Butch and the entire Cappel Canine team enough.

Our dog came out of training with all the basics. Stan did a great job with her and was constantly sending us videos of her progress. He was great with her while still providing the necessary discipline.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    N/A

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I get to know them and their lifestyle, to make sure the dog fits in. We do this by asking every one fill out a profile of their dogs behaviors, goals, and then customising the dogs training to meet those goals. Our goal is to make your dog the best family member they can be.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have trained with the best military and police dog trainers in Denmark, Holland, Australia, and the best to be found in the U.S. and Canada. Working and service dogs have been a lifetime commitment of mine and I still travel internationally giving training seminars and working with other top trainers
