FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge a flat rate of $100/hour for 2-person labor (crawl spaces and attics extra). Any needed materials can be either supplied by the customer, ordered by the customer for delivery via links from us, or pay a 20% upcharge on the actual material costs (time, labor, fuel, etc) for us to provide. While we can certainly provide a fixed price for a job, we prefer the transparency of the hourly rate plus materials method. I'm big on practicing what you preach, the golden rule, etc and have zero tolerance for BS. In my 30+ year experience, I've seen a fixed job rate very often incentivize cutting corners and taking shortcuts to maximize profits. I dont play that and also try to avoid any concerns in that regard.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Determine what the customer needs. Offer options and estimate labor cost for each option. Determine what materials will be needed to complete the job and schedule accordingly.
