So I dropped my cell phone and broke the screen. I took it to TEXAS-CELL, 5334 EVERHART, STE 101, CORPUS CHRISTI. 361/229-3892. Let me say this. Don't take your phone there. Of course you have to prepay for the part. So there's $211. Then waited over 9 days with the story that the part was back ordered and then the part was sent to NY and then part received. They had of course looked at the phone and ordered the part. Well, they ordered the wrong part and charged another $55 saying they were paying the difference(whatever). Their mistake if that's what it was. Another week goes by and the part finally comes in. The phone is fixed a day later and 2-1/2 weeks later THE SCREEN COMES OFF. I take it back and tell them it was not sealed properly. They tell me they use screws to seal it. Their tech looks at it and tells me I ripped the screen off and hands the phone back. NO WARRANTY ON THEIR WORK.
TEXAS-CELL, 5334 Everhart, Ste 101. NO WARRANTY ON WORK. I would have given them another chance to do the job right but they accused me of having ripped the screen off in my opinion in order to weasel themselves of the cost to fix their mistake.

My wife and I went to Texas-Cell in December 2014 to get a better cell phone service and also get a phone for myself. The phone that Douglas recommended to me was a Rugby. He said it is rugged and "....should be the last phone I will ever need to buy." He said the cost would be $150 + tax and he would order it. Assuming it would be a new phone, I agreed. On way home my wife said that it was a used phone, so I called him to cancel the order. There are many used Rugby phones available on-line for less than $40. Douglas' office assistant said that it was too late to cancel the order but that Douglas' policy is to try to sell it and if it doesn't sell within 1 month, they would refund my money. Six weeks later, they finally agreed to refund the money and that I needed to come in to get cash. Upon arrival, the assissant handed me $112. Douglas was there, but would not do his own dirty work. She said that their policy is to charge 25% "restocking fee" and the sales tax cannot be returned. She pointed to a sign on the wall that she admitted was not there before stating their 25% restock fee. Also, the Rugby phone they had ordered for me and sitting in their display was an obviously well-worn phone. The one I got on-line for $37 and free shipping was in spotless condition. I think that Texas-Cell was dishonest and greedy in this matter. I suggest people avoid them or be very careful.

Doug is the best of the best when it comes to fixing cell phones &I trust him with all my electronics his business Texas cell is awesome great service & very friendly atmosphere, very prompt on his services great prices!!!!!!
