As an acting coach I work with actors to find their unique "fierce sense of play" in their work. I have experience with actors from 6-60 years old and work well in one on one settings as well as group workshops. My technique is greatly inspired by the Michael Chekhov technique and practical aesthetics. Being an actor myself, I'm well versed in theatre, film, and stage combat (in person workshops only). Nothing is more satisfying than seeing an actor achieve a true inspired performance. I help my actors engage with their imagination and joy of performing as a bridge to inspiration.

My two teenagers took acting lessons from Haulston. He was amazing with them! They grew so much in just a few lessons! We are so very grateful for his help and look forward to working with him again! Haulston has taught our two week theatre summer workshop/intensive for the past two years and each year it gets better and better. He teaches us stage combat and Chekov's acting theory. He's a wonderful teacher and a great combat instructor. Along with teaching our classes, he has also done fight choreography for our shows. The most recent example has been one West Side Story. He came in and created the entire Rumble and the fight sequences in the Prologue. The fights looked fantastic, but most importantly it was safe. Working with him is always a blast. He's a wonderful person and a wonderful teacher.

Haulston Mann is an experienced and entertaining coach who is fully dedicated to his teachings. Whether it be acting techniques, stage combat classes, or even just how to workout better, Haulston gives full effort and is a naturally gifted teacher. Working with him is a lot of fun and I personally have become better at my craft because of him.

Haulston is one of the most genuinely exciting people I've ever learned under. He's patient and understanding, and his knowledge of Stage combat and acting in general was so helpful to me as an artist. He's a great teacher and an even better person that I'm glad I know.

Prices vary based on the actor's goals, location, duration, and what they want from our sessions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we'll decide what they're looking for. If it's a onetime audition coaching we'll start playing right away! If the actor is more interested in on going training, we'll set specific goals based on how many sessions they'd like to try out and create a plan of action to crush those goals!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
