- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Plumbers are required to do continued education every year to review any new and established plumbing code. In order to acquire a Masters license, which is required for every plumbing business, a minimum of 6 years on job training is required before testing can be requested. The path in plumbing can look similar to this: 4,000 hours - Tradesman Plumber (Residential Only) 8,000 hours - Journeyman Plumber (Can work on any plumbing under a Master Plumber To become a master you have to hold a Journeyman License for 2 years minimum, you then have to apply and pass the exam which consists of over 300 questions.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Last week we replaced a water heater for a customer that had been without hot water for two days, she had a very important meeting the next day and the plumbing company she called didn’t come ready for the job. We were able to go out that evening and complete the install! She didn’t have to worry about starting her important day with a cold shower the next morning and was very pleased she found Quantum!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When it comes to plumbing work in the state of Texas you are required to carry a license to complete any work on a plumbing system. The reason for that is to protect you as the customer!
