- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking for a fire alarm system installation try to avoid any brand of equipment that is going to lock you into specific alarm dealers. Many brands of alarms will only let their distributors sell and maintain their line of fire alarm equipment; these companies usually have higher rates as well as an extra incentive to sell as much as possible in order to meet the quotas set to them by these larger manufacturers. Indpendent fire alarm systems will allow the end user to pick and choose what company works on his or her stuff due to the fact that ANY registered company can work on independent systems. All systems are required to meet the same minimum standards whether they be independent or through distributors only. Don't get hung up on a brand or else you might find yourself paying much higher rates for the life of the system. There are definitely much more affordable alternatives to the big names and for most applications these alternatives work just as good as any other fire alarm system.
