Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: A Hadley and Harriet design project stands out from others for one simple reason. We get to know the client, and we discuss how to incorporate a great design around the functionality of their life. We make it beautiful and we work inside of REAL LIFE BUDGETS. At the end of each project we consistently hear, "this is so perfect for us!". And that is our reward. I don't just "like" my job. I really "love" it. My clients are the reason I wake up every morning and can't wait to get started on a project. Whether the client is decorating a room for a first time baby, designing an office space, building their dream home from the ground up, or simply re-arranging their living room... they are inviting me to assist with design and decor choices that reflect their personality and their every day life. It is an honor to be invited to share in these experiences. It never fails that I walk away from a project with a great new friend. I really do "LOVE" my job and my clients!

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

This job actually came looking for me! My friends and family (and eventually their friends) offered to pay for my assistance after I completed renovations and design of my own home, followed by design and decor of a 7000 square foot showroom and retail store on Lemmon Avenue in Dallas. And as it turns out, advertising was never a part of the business. Word of mouth has always carried us to the next job. After 12 years, the design business outgrew the Design District retail store. We are now based full-time in Lake Highlands.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My advice for anyone looking to hire an interior designer or decorator, from a source other than a friend's recommendation, is to contact several of their references. Previous clients will tell all (good and bad), so ask lots of questions! You are certain to be pleased if the other clients have been really happy with their designer.
