The Writing Center

I truly enjoy the editing process. I love the idea of becoming someone's else voice for a short time and helping someone say what they need to say effectively. Moreover, I have been editing for a very long time and have learned to analyze a piece from different perspectives because of my background in journalism, academic writing, and creative writing. I like the process of creating order and organization--of taking a piece that doesn't flow well or isn't well-written and turning it into something I would enjoy reading and learning from. I also like the fact that I get to learn about different subjects as I edit the pieces I'm working on.
