My teaching experience spans over 10 years in private instruction both as a professor and business owner. I speak English, and Spanish fluently; French, Italian, and Portuguese conversationally.

This voice teacher made such an impact on my daughter with her positivity and instruction. My daughter improved so quickly in such a short amount of time.

Nereida Garcia is an outstanding singer and a very inspirational teacher. It was fascinating to watch her grow as a singer and a teacher since 2002. We played many recitals together. As a singer Ms. Garcia is great both in operatic and art song repertoire. I collaborated with Ms. Garcia at a Master Class at Eastfield College in 2014. Her teaching style is very inspirational not only for vocalists, but also for instrumentalists. I would love for my children to take voice lessons with Ms. Garcia when they are older.

I take voice lessons from Nereida and I honestly feel like I have struck gold with her. Not only is she an outstanding teacher, she's also one of the kindest people I have the pleasure of knowing. She has pushed me to reach many of the goals I have set for myself while being understanding of everything going on in my hectic teenage life. Thanks to her tutelage, I am now a better singer than I have ever been before. She has an inspiring passion for singing and teaching that pulls the best out of me. I have had many voice teachers but I can honestly say that nobody holds a candle to Ms. Garcia; she's the best one I have ever had. Learning from somebody who has such great gift and such an amazing spirit is never a chore. I would absolutely recommend taking lessons from Nereida Garcia.

Recibí clases durante al menos seis meses por parte de Ms. Nereida, quien siempre fue muy puntual y muy profesional. Me ayudo mucho a superar la pena de hablar delante de otras personas, y disfrute cada clase que recibí durante ese tiempo, nunca tuve tiempo de aburrirme o desear hacer otra cosa durante mi clase, y pues lo mejor de todo es que puedo decir que disfrute aprendiendo, lo cual creo que muchas veces no sucede cuando estamos estudiando. How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began teaching in 2003 while an undergraduate student at the University of North Texas with their Community Music School. Since then, I have sung major operatic roles, recitals, soloist in concert works, taught in academia and am now venturing off to begin my private music studio. My hope is to share my life's experiences with those in pursuit of personal and artistic growth at any age, and to help develop their strengths and encourage them in the achievement of their goals.
