Derek and Virginia were both very nice. They responded to my initial message in less than 5 minutes, and Derek was at my house in about half an hour on a Friday, late morning (its about 100 degrees out). He figured out the issue with the upstairs unit and tried a quick fix first, to avoid us having to either spend $2k to fix an 8yo unit or replace it altogether. So far, it's been working much better. He also noticed the compressor fan on the downstairs unit was stopping and then starting erratically, and took my husband out to show and explain the issue him. He then went ahead and got all the info off the unit, determined the parts were still under warranty and in stock locally, and said he could have it fixed for us the next morning, after he got the part. He was supposed to be there at 9 am (on Saturday), but was actually there early and had it fixed, almost before we were even awake. We didn't shop around, but the agreed upon price seemed to be fair and reasonable. We'll be happy to use them again the next time we have an issue.

I started at a young age helping my father on HVAC installs. More recently I’ve worked for local AC companies as Service/Operations management.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Small companies such as ours are more likely to be reasonably priced as they don’t have the high overhead as many of the larger contractors do.
