FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Amanda started getting into photography as a child when her father introduced her to a 35mm film SLR. She grew up developing her film and black and white prints in her personal darkroom and changed to digital photography in 2001. However, she does continue her love of 35mm film photography when she has time. Amanda completed miscellaneous jobs as a child for various clients (such as housing photos for apartment and home owners) and continued to grow her photography skills into adulthood. During her time in the military, she also utilized her photography and writing skills for public relations. It was during this time that Amanda decided to take the big leap of leaving the Army and make her hobby and passion a career - to share her art with others.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Amanda's typical sessions include on location outdoor photography typically utilizing soft lighting. Her clients often ask for specialty photographs for their prints - which are always fun for both photographer and client when complete, but some specialty prints will cost more for the extra time they require. Amanda commonly shoots solitary portraits, family, maternity, couple, military and baby photographs.
