Man of God with an excellent common since approach to communicating in an relationship. Rev Gary is timely and gets right down to the business at hand upon arrival, very little small talk. This is something appreciated by me. His sessions are scheduled in hourly incremts so if you want to keep it too an hour, then you will need to be concious of the time. He is not partial and if you are looking for someone to take your side so you can say, "I told you so", then Rev Gary will not satisfy that need. He facilitates the discussion well and not afraid to demonstrate if need be. He is expecting results quickly and there if you need to call him apart from the session. He will make your significant other aware that a separate conversation has been had and I believe that the only information that would be shared about that conversation, would only be what is need to move the current situation forward. You will be held to task, so if you just want to vent and not make any personal/relationship changes, then do yourself a favor and vent to one of your friends. Rev Gary is a change agent. I recommend him if you are truly seeking change!

First impressions are very important and something about the information [about Bradley] on this site stood out to me. This being my first experience with this type of counseling, I went to the initial appointment a little guarded. However, to my delight, I found the atmosphere to be warm and relaxing. The focus on our marriage goal and how to achieve them is very meaningful to both my husband and myself. I appreciate that Bradley is very personable and empathetic while injecting just the right amount of humor and personal experiences . It's exactly what we were looking for in a Counselor.

"It was refreshing and humbling to re-learn the basics of eating healthy, working out with weights and mental conditioning" I could never begin to thank Warren Wilkins (Dubs) for all that you’ve shown me each day has seen new gains and strengths, not only of muscle and perspective, but in desire and motivation as well. "If you're thinking about training with a professional highly recommend Warren Wilkins (Body’s by Dubs); . He's been helping me get into shape and I couldn't be happier with the results. I was hesitant at first, due to the fact how an in home personal training could be different from a gym, however after contacting Warren thru his email: bodybydubs@gmail.com, I wish I'd done it sooner. Warren (Dubs) made me feel very comfortable and helped me understand what I could achieve. Dubs sessions are tailored specifically to me and he keeps track of my progress. He provided me a meal plan to follow for the month and he explains in simple terms the effects and what I need to do to stay on track. If you follow his advice you'll see incredible results in your body and mental well-being. Dubs approach to training is very different to personal trainers you will find in the gym. He is concerned about your whole well being and not just getting fit. He gives advice on everything from your posture to nutrition and from flexibility to your mental health. Dub’s is an extraordinary physical trainer of tremendous knowledge, versatility and discipline. Be patient though results don't happen overnight, it’s no quick fix and there is a lot to learn. You have to understand it’s not just about getting hot, sweaty and out of breath every time you train. It’s about a lifestyle change that can only happen one day at a time. RJ FLORES

This was my first experience with a personal trainer and nutritionist. I have been extremely satisfied with each. I have learned how to eat healthier and still enjoy my meals. My trainer created a program that fit my needs and he understood that what worked for another client may not work for me. I have constraints due to back and hip issues and Bob has adjusted my work outs that help strengthen my weak areas. They have given me tools to continue good habits in eating and keeping my body healthy.

Janelle really cares about the people she's training. Her attentiveness, consideration and keen observation of movement, form, and strength are incredible. She was even able to use her knowledge and wisdom of how the body works to help direct me to getting diagnosed with a muscle disorder I hadn't known existed let alone thought was something I had. Janelle is simply a fantastic human being and the greatest personal trainer I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I cannot recommend her enough.

She is my trainer for a wellness program at work. She is amazing!!! I absolutely love how much she pushes but still listens to our bodies and helps modify if needed. She truly care for her clients and wants what is best. She uses personal experiences as great advice to help us remain motivated. She goes above and beyond to ensure we get our work outs in. Love how exhausted I am after out work outs and how great my body feels between work outs! She truly is a 10 out of 5 star review!!

I have been fortunate to work with Dave over 10 years now. Everything from rehab, fitness, and nutrition, he has always been on point. Also very good at educating me personally about my body and keeping me healthy as possible. Being a professional athlete you have to take care of your body and David Ghaazee makes it easier to do that because of his knowledge in health and wellness.

I’ve never had a personal trainer before, but was introduced to GYMGUYZ through a health fair at work. I was hesitant if I would stick with it, but once they explained the group sessions I was eager to sign up with my friends. They drive a truck full of equipment straight to you and teach you something new every time. We’ve been working with Charlene who always brings her high spirits to keep you motivated and is a text away to answer any questions! She’s been learning what motivates each of us and adjusts her practice to get us better results. I really am pleased I’ve found a way to get motivated with my friends without having to make the trip to the gym!

Patty is great. She is very enthusiastic and has a great sense of humor when it comes to something most dread. You can definitely tell she truly loves what she is doing to help others achieve a lifestyle that helps you learn to love life again. I would and in fact have recommend her to all my friends. She started me at my fitness level, and I was able to perform each exercise she instructed me on. Can't wait until she is in my home again so that I can become stronger not only on the outside but inside as well.

Melissa Walker is a really good Career Coach. She has a way of melding all the information she has learned from books, real-life experiences in the corporate world, and deep experience running her own business into a wealth of fantastic information. She was patient to listen and guide my thoughts through a series of probing, insightful questions that helped me improve my Career goals. I was recently promoted and believe some of the information she provided me helped with that process. I wholeheartedly recommend Melissa as a Career Coach for anyone who is struggling with challenges or just wanting to take their career to the next level.

Overall, my experience with Speaking of Life / Family Restoration Network was positive. My life coach was supportive and was a particularly great listener! He doesn't tell you exactly what to do but does a good job of guiding your intentions to align with actions you can take to take on a particular issue. He checked up on me periodically and offered suggestions whenever I hit any roadblocks. In short i learned a great deal that most solutions come when you learn to speak the life language of people in your life. All in all, would totally recommend. Thank you

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    What is a health coach?

A health coach is a service provider you can hire to help you realize your wellness goals. You can hire a health and wellness coach to guide you through life changes, keep you focused on weight loss or fitness goals, help boost your mental health, and more. Many health coaches work with their clients for set periods of time as the client moves toward a measurable goal. Wellness coaches come from varying backgrounds, and may have different areas of focus depending on their education and training. Research potential coaches by reading their reviews, researching their academic and personal backgrounds, and learning about any certifications they have earned from coaching institutes. Often, health and wellness coaches sell coaching packages ranging from three to six months or longer, depending on the client’s needs. The average national cost for an individual health coach session ranges from $60 to $90, although prices may range as low as $30 or up to $130 or more, depending on your location and the coach.

    What is a life coach?

A professional, accredited life coach works with people to help them make important changes in their life, either growing in their profession or changing gears in their personal lives. They help clients turn their dreams or wishes into realistic, attainable goals. They guide people through the process of making life changes by helping them evaluate the steps they must take to reach a particular goal, then help them decide how — and whether — to take those steps in the most efficient, effective and rewarding way possible. A life coach acts as a motivator, strategist and accountability partner. Unlike a therapist, a life coach doesn’t help solve problems from your past — they’re focused on helping you move forward with new ways of acting and thinking that will help you reach your goals. Some people specialize in particular types of life coaching, including life balancing coaches, small business coaches, executive coaches and personal finance coaches. Some meet clients in person, while others hold consultations over the phone.

Regardless of which type of life coach you’re interested in, make sure the person holds an International Coach Federation (ICF) credential. There are three tiers of credentials: Associate, Professional and Master, which require coaching experience ranging from 100 hours to 2,500 hours.

How much does a life coach cost?

A life coach helps clients set and reach professional and personal goals, develop positive habits, and deal with stress. Some people meet with a life coach once or twice, while others form an ongoing professional relationship, meeting regularly in person or on the phone. The average national cost to meet with a life coach ranges from $80 to $130 an hour. Some coaches offer per-session pricing, especially for one-time meetings; expect to pay an average of $100-$125. People who want to work with a coach over a period of time to explore life transitions, career growth or lifestyle changes may be able to get discounted pricing in a package. For example, three 60-minute sessions cost an average of $300, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $350, and four 60- to 90-minute sessions plus unlimited contact between sessions cost an average of $400. Some specific types of coaching, such as relationship or marriage coaching, cost more than standard life coaching. For instance, three 60-minute relationship coaching sessions cost an average of $500, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $550, and six 60- to 90-minute sessions cost an average of $650 when purchased as a package. Training and experience can also affect the cost of hiring a life coach. An Associate Certified Coach, who holds a certification that requires only 60 hours of training and 100 hours of coaching experience, will charge less than a Master Certified Coach, who typically has at least 200 hours of training and 2,500 hours of coaching experience.

What is a holistic wellness coach?

When you want to reach new heights with your health and wellness, consider hiring a holistic wellness coach. Much like a health coach, a holistic wellness coach is focused on your well-being and meets with you in one-on-one sessions to help you identify and reach your targeted goals. A holistic wellness coach will typically have you take all components of your life into account when working to achieve your goals. If your goal is to lose weight, a holistic wellness coach will not only offer recommendations for your diet and exercise, but also discuss your emotional health, your work/life balance, your spiritual side, and each area of your life that affects your ability to follow a nutrition and fitness plan.

Although they are highly motivational and often can help clients achieve great results, holistic wellness coaches are not professional health care providers or registered dietitians. Different institutes and training centers provide certifications for holistic wellness coaching, so be sure to research your coach and read their reviews to understand more about their techniques and training.

    Why get a life coach?

People of all ages and in all careers have called in a life coach. Life coaches are accredited professionals who can help you figure out the tangible changes you can make in your life to reach your goals; they can even help you turn your dreams into goals, if you’re not sure where to go next. A life coach can also help people find their purpose in life. Life coaching clients often have an idea of what they want to do, such as help people or work with animals, but don’t know how to turn that passion into a career. A life coach can help clients work through the options to find a clear path with concrete steps that lead to an attainable goal. A life coach can also help clients make a major career change, such as starting a new business. Life coaches can help clients develop better habits that will make them more successful, acting as an accountability partner. Life coaches also often guide their clients through major transitions in life, such as a career change or other stressful situations that are made easier with guidance from a neutral third party.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
