FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge per hour - with a minimum of at least one hour. We do have a non-refundable retainer due at booking, how much depends on length or number of visits. The retainer does count towards your final balance. However, almost everything is included while we're there. Some Santa's charge extra to sing, or read a story, or take photos - not us! Once we're there, we're there to make you happy! We also have a travel area, and will charge a small fee to go outside of that area. While we primarily visit in North Texas, we can arrange visits elsewhere in the state. Depending on how Thumbtack requires the quoted price (it varies), we do our best include everything so there is no hidden fees. We do not provide decorations, a photographer, or staff for your event. We can provide COI, participate in background and security checks, and provide any other information you may need (like vendor forms or government payment arrangements). However, some of those items may have additional fees. We will be up front with you, and work with you and your organizations needs. You can see a list of those on our website or if you are unsure, just ask!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Almost everything is done online! It makes booking and invoicing easy, quick, and able to do without having to hide from little ones. Once you accept a quote, we will get an intake form to you so we can gather information and create a booking contract and invoice. And of course, if you need anything, just ask!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Santa and Mrs. Claus bring over 40 years of experience creating memorable holiday visits, including attending Santa school and ongoing training. Santa’s Little Helper adds an extensive professional background in marketing, media, and event planning. Our team’s collective training and experience include CPR and thoughtful, inclusive visits with individuals with disabilities (including autism), people living with chronic illnesses, older adults, survivors of abuse, and families with limited incomes. We also have experience welcoming guests from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and family traditions. These skills help us tailor each visit with patience, compassion, and respect, so everyone feels welcome and included in the holiday magic.
