FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will generally ask some questions before giving a quote, because I stick to my quotes. On occasions when the conditions onsite were notably different than what we previously discussed and a job will take more time, that's a change to discuss right away.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A first-time customer is inviting a stranger into their home to repair or build something. Trust matters. I ask questions and make sure I understand the job before offering a quote, and I use the same attention to detail that I do on my own home.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I limit the work I do to areas where I have experience. I can replace a light fixture or ceiling fan, but have no business doing deep electrical work, for example. I've been working on my own homes for 30+ years.
