I am currently working with Chiara on our family home project. I love how easy she is to work with and how she is guiding me through the process which is a completely new thing for me. She is taking care of furnishing our house entirely! We are super excited with the ideas she came up with to make the design fit to our style and needs; she came with a lot of fabric and other samples to review (no need to go to showrooms with her if we don't want to) and we are now waiting on new beautiful custom pieces! We just started - had initial consultation. So far things are going quite well. Chiara was punctual and I can tell she loves what she does. She has sent me the paperwork she said she would to get things moving along -- and she did so very timely. She also listens to what I'm saying and what we're trying to achieve. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?These are special promotional prices for new clients contacting me thorough Thumbtack and could change depending on size and complexity of project -Consultation only $180 for 2 hours with the designer, in which you can ask all type of questions and get custom solutions and ideas for your house project. -Furniture, accessories, lighting selection starting at $300/room -Other design services $90/hour -Floor plans starting at $200/room -3d renderings starting at $400/room We offer complimentary 1 hour consultation for all those clients who purchased any other of our design services, including staging. Its value ($90) will be discounted from your next invoice! Please note: in-house consultation isn't free and there is a minimum charge of $90 for the designer to come out. No travel fee is ever billed unless previously agreed with the client on special occasions. There is a minimum charge of 4 hours for all design and home staging projects with the exception of consultation-only services. A deposit or the minimum hourly charge depending on project is due on the first visit by check or cash. Other payments can be made via electronic payments and invoicing system (3% charge on credit card transaction, 2% on Bank Transfers)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?The first consultation takes place at the client's house or commercial space. This is a very important moment to begin the design process. It's when I get to know my customers and their needs and design preferences. I go through a sort of "interview" to make sure I won't miss anything important for them. No detail is irrelevant, what is important for them and in their life will have a great impact on the way the design will be created. After that, depending on the project, I will create design visual boards to make sure the design is coming to life in a way that will satisfy the customer. Visual boards will be completed with specification sheets and details of furniture, finishes, materials, accessories etc... When all of this is decided, I will handle the process of buying furniture and accessories for a smooth and complete result. My team can take care of all installation, from pictures hanging to furniture assembly and we also offer cleaning services to achieve impeccable results. However, every project is different and very personal, and this is just an example of a standard process, but it would vary depending on size, complexity and preferences.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have an Associate Degree in Interior Design and an Advanced Certificate in Interior Design (which is recognized as equivalent of a Bachelor Degree). I also studied art history, art critique and preservation at the Verona University, Italy.
