Amare House & Design by Chiara Ricci
About this pro
Chiara is a delight to work with. She brings a great deal of experience to the project, but is so very open to incorporating our ideas in the total scheme. She is very professional and very considerate of our cost restraints, our time and our obligations to other matters.Jul 18, 2018Verified
Very disappointed. No professionalism at all. At first she was available, then she was not available for the day, then she is not available for our project. Just in 30 minutes period.Jun 8, 2018VerifiedChiara R.'s reply
I was never hired. After trying to bargain on a $50 consultation fee twice (for a visit on a Saturday 45 minutes from my office) I politely explained I could not be available for the job. Also he clearly explained he was not even ready to move on with the design work, just looking for pricing and estimates. I have the right to back up from a job I don’t believe is a good fit for my business. Definitely don’t deserve a bad review from someone I never worked for.

Thank you Andrea! I am very excited about working on your project! Chiara
We have just started working with Chiara, but we were so impressed by our first meeting. She understood what we wanted and will work with us as we embark on a multi-year project to update our home. She had such great ideas and insights. On the personal side - she's a sweetheart!Jul 9, 2017VerifiedChiara R.'s reply

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The first consultation takes place at the client's house or commercial space. This is a very important moment to begin the design process. It's when I get to know my customers and their needs and design preferences. I go through a sort of "interview" to make sure I won't miss anything important for them. No detail is irrelevant, what is important for them and in their life will have a great impact on the way the design will be created. After that, depending on the project, I will create design visual boards to make sure the design is coming to life in a way that will satisfy the customer. Visual boards will be completed with specification sheets and details of furniture, finishes, materials, accessories etc... When all of this is decided, I will handle the process of buying furniture and accessories for a smooth and complete result. My team can take care of all installation, from pictures hanging to furniture assembly and we also offer cleaning services to achieve impeccable results. However, every project is different and very personal, and this is just an example of a standard process, but it would vary depending on size, complexity and preferences.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have an Associate Degree in Interior Design and an Advanced Certificate in Interior Design (which is recognized as equivalent of a Bachelor Degree). I also studied art history, art critique and preservation at the Verona University, Italy.
