Introduction: Does your anger control you? When you lose control to anger, the costs can be high. The pain can be immense. Angry outbursts affect parenting, marriages, relationships, and careers. Suppressing it, however, can cause depression, anxiety, resentment, suicidal and homicidal thoughts, and a host of mood disorders. Consequences of anger can include arrest, divorce, broken relationships, and job loss. Or the price of a new phone to replace the one you shattered. Arrest for assault can cause tremendous embarrassment while draining your savings as you pay all your legal fees. Health issues occur, including high blood pressure, ulcers, and headaches. Loved ones pay through abuse or destruction of property. Years ago, I found out first hand the devastation of anger. In my anger, I began running like Forrest Gump. Within 4 months, I completed a marathon. During this time, I found the secret to gaining control of this destructive emotion. I have helped hundreds of people break free from the bondage of anger, and I can help you too. When you work with me, you will learn how to find victory over this devastating emotion. My desire is to help you find peace—even in the midst of your storms. If your “bucket” is full of anger, every frustration can be a trigger to dump your “bucket of angry” all over your loved ones or coworkers, leaving you with a huge mess and amends to make. Are you ready to learn how to constructively drain your anger and gain control over this dangerous emotion? Call today to set up a free consultation.

Lonnie was very kind, approachable, and helpful for me and my fiancee. He is good at listening as a counselor should be and asks clarifying questions. He takes great care in making sure he understands the underlying issues. He also gave us some useful exercises to improve our communication in marriage and help us both grow as listeners.

We went to Dr. Bryant for our premarital counseling. Honestly, we were not super excited about going, but Dr. Bryant put us at ease right away and each time we would leave the session feeling glad we went. We have only been married a few weeks, but we have already caught ourselves referring to things we learned/discussed during our sessions. We would highly recommend this to any couple getting married!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Fees are discussed during your FREE phone consultation. Sessions are typically one hour in length. All payments are private pay via cash, check, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, or credit card. In consideration of your best interest, we do not file insurance claims.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The first step is to schedule your complimentary phone consultation. I find my clients appreciate the opportunity to ask me questions and get to know me a little bit. It also gives me a chance to find out where you are and where you want to be. If we agree that you are a good fit during this 15-20 minute call, I can schedule your appointment at one of my three locations. I also offer online sessions for those who don't want to travel or come in for a face-to-face session. At the beginning of your first appointment, you will need to fill out a brief information sheet. If your sessions are virtual, we can email it to you for completion. Each session typically lasts 50 minutes to 1 hour in length, but if you need additional time and my schedule permits, you can continue at a prorated rate in 15-minute increments.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I earned my master's degree and then a doctoral degree (PhD) in counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to this, I earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from Oklahoma Baptist University.
