FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly working at getting better and better at every aspect of my work. And every day, every job, teaches me something.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Events are probably the most common job I do. They require the ability to work often in low light and changing light conditions which I have fully developed in the 70+ events I have shot. Fashion related shoots account for my largest revenue generator with Fashion Designer themselves accounting for most of that and modeling portfolios generating the remainder. Portrait, headshot and wedding-related work are the majority of my remaining business.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The most important general element is the photography portfolio. Just because someone has been shooting for 40 years doesn't make them a great photographer. The images in their portfolio do!!!! Frankly, some of the old school shooters are likely to not be the creative types that we see today. Also, be sure to look at the total potential cost. Many photographers do a very cheap sitting fee but then charge a large markup on print packages. I provide digital files only typically that you can print as large as you want at far less cost.
