FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Clear Choice Roofing found that we had hail damage on the west side of the roof, but it wasn't severe enough to require repair. He caulked around the chimney and measured the skylight for a new rubber seal. He also found a small hole made by a tree that had fallen last year. A few days later, once we got the squirrel family to move out, Alan came back - in the rain - and put a temporary patch over the hole until the weather cleared enough that he could repair it properly (he did not charge us for this trip.) After the rain stopped, Alan came back yet a third time, replaced the rubber seal on the skylight, and properly repaired the hole, which now looks as good as new. Our roof is extremely steep, which as expected is an upcharge. Natasha, who answers the phone for Clear Choice, was very upfront about any additional charges, so there were no surprises (except for the squirrel hole.) We had never before needed our roof repaired or replaced, but have heard the "horror stories" of unethical roofers that find questionable damages, make promises, get payments in advance and either do shoddy work or neglect to show up at all to finish the job. So it was a relief to find a company that was honest, showed up exactly when they said they would, and then do an A+ job. One day, if we live in this house long enough, we WILL need to replace our roof. Without question, we will definitely call Clear Choice Roofing.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be thorough in what you expect to be done and the time frame for completing the job. Research the company and make sure they are insured for your protection. Never give a contractor money up front. A well established company should finance the project up until its completion. Check with the local wholesalers to make sure your contractor has an account in good standing.
