- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our prices are very competitive and we don't charge a premium for weekends.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
All our communications with new customers is through phone calls. Each call is handle by a trained moving consultant and in most cases, they will receive a quote at that time. We explain our insurance, how the furniture will be protected, home protection procedures, and how what to expect on move day. When they schedule, they will receive an email within the hour detailing all charges associated with the move.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been in the moving industry since 1978. I started on the trucks and worked in the field for 15 years. I was hired as an Operations manager for Two Men and a Truck in Columbus Ohio and eventually promoted to Head of Operations. My final promotion was to outside sales and I was the number one salesman. I moved to Houston in 2008 and started Moving by Design from scratch and this is our 13 years in business. We own 5 trucks and we have over 30 employees.
