It was more than what was quoted and it took longer than it should have based on an error made by one of the workers. We had to repair the inside of the closet, but overall the work is fine. I think one of the workers was not very good at explaining what needed to be accomplished. The owner, was helpful in explaining what needed to be done.
He definitely knows what he's doing hooking up a garbage disposal properly. Checked all parts and system before he finished the job. Labor cost was reasonable. Would hire again.
Quick, effecient, precise, and knowledgeable. Plus he has a very reasonable labor cost. I'm glad I hired him to install our garbage disposal.
Dan did a great job installing two outdoor faucets for me as well as a new bathroom faucet. Very professional and trustworthy. The job was a little more involved than we originally thought, but he did not charge for the additional labor. Will certainly use him again for plumbing repairs.
Juan and his crew were great! Juan helped me figure the deck size that fits my needs, he was great at pricing out the materials and labor, and on the day of he finished in one day and cleaned up all trash and debris before leaving. Overall, it was a great experience and if I ever need anything else done I would not hesitate to call.
Responded to my service request within minutes. Worked with my daughter and even walked her through issues. Capped off sprinkler system so they would have water to the house, then got the job done in half a day. Sam even wanted to walk me through repairs so I could DYI, but I had fixed it before, and the time and labor for me VS. hiring Sam was way more efficient and economical. Great job Sam!
Frank is a good person. He finished the job before he told us. I'm very happy with my new bathroom. Jesus one of Frank's workers make a beautiful job .the price was very reasonable. I really recommend frank ..I am thinking to hire him again in my new kitchen remodeling. Thank you frank and see you soon.
Heater and fan wouldn't work in my townhome. Had one of the towns HVAC company check it out and they couldn't fix the problem. Said it needed an electrician to come in and troubleshoot. I turned to Thumbtack and in a short while, i had a response. Long story short, summit solutions came over on SUNDAY and fixed the problem. Post fix he provided me with answers to all my questions (aka what was wrong, what was the labor/parts breakout). I was very pleased to get the work done in a timely manner as the temp inside the townhome was getting pretty chilly. Great service overall.
Moving to a new property, I inherited a couple of brush piles that continues to grow as we renovated the house and developed/maintained the property. The brush piles began to grow and I knew we needed to get them hauled off since we have a burn ban where I live. Robbin responded quickly to my Thumbtack submittal with a reasonable bid and an ability to move the piles and other trash we had. He and his team showed up on Labor Day holiday and cleared our trash with great service, affordable price and no issues. Thanks to Robbin, Brandon and Curly for a great experience AND for the quote for cleaning the ducts in our home.
Thom is a knowledgeable, good handyman. His pace is perhaps a tad slower than other handymen, so allot your time accordingly. Overall, I'd recommend.
Toilet flange broke during a DIY tile job. Alex responded instantly with a fair, complete price for parts and labor. He also came the same day to complete the job. Even though it wasn't part of the quote, he set the toilet, connected it and adjusted the new toilet valve. Super responsive and good quality. Will likely hire again for other remodel jobs
David came over and gave me an estimate to do my microwave changeover . It was a little low, I felt, especially after he and his partner started and soon found that my project needed some special attention. At the end David had things looking great, with a job well done. Since the project took about 90 minutes and completed so well, I did give David a bonus of thirty dollars more than asked for. I also solicited a estimate for replacement of 4 windows, labor only, and again was astounded at how much less he quoted. Hiring David was well worth the effort and indeed knows what he is doing.
We've been wanting to remodel our kitchen since we moved in summer 2011. The house was built in 1999, and the kitchen looked it. We connected with Holly around 3 months ago. Her reviews are stellar and she is well-respected in our community. Holly provided us a quote that was competitive and comprehensive. We compared it with two other contractors; weighed various factors, i.e., labor, supplies, workmanship, proposed timeline, etc., etc., and decided that Holly was the best choice. We have extremely busy schedules. Holly managed the remodel every step of the way. She helped us make choices regarding colors, granite, and tile. In fact she came to our home with samples on a Saturday morning, since that was best for our schedules, and made great suggestions that we used ultimately. Everyone on her team was outstanding - granite, painting, tile. Attention to detail and quality of work was stellar. We felt our home was in good hands at all times, and were never let down. Holly asked for 10-14 days to complete the project. It was finished in 9 days. We could not be happier.
This Company is very trustworthy and honors the timeframe that they give while doing the job. Great communication and amazing excellance on labor that is provided!!!
After getting multiple quotes on having my popcorn ceilings scraped and SMOOTHENED in my 2100sqft home I had chose to go with Trey and Mitchell. I talked with Trey quite a bit and felt most comfortable with him and having them in my home while I was at work. They do the work themselves without hiring laborers which made me feel good as that holds them personally responsible. The project took a little longer than expected, but at the end of the day, they did exactly what I wanted...smooth ceilings! They kept me informed throughout the process. After scraping the ceiling, taping, mudding, sanding and test painting, they were not happy how it was coming out the first go around (knowing what I was expecting) so Trey called me to let me know they were going to mud the entire ceiling, ultimately starting over and would not charge me anything for the extra labor. The end result was exactly what I visioned. Trey and Mitchell are great to work with and I plan to use them again when its time for base boards and crown molding, thanks again guys!
How lucky are my wife and I to have found Cesar. We have many good things to say about Cesar beginning with he is an expert craftsman and a perfectionist. We were looking for a contractor to remodel our master bathroom, which included extensive demolition, moving the shower, installing a larger bathtub, rerouting the plumbing under the concrete slab, all new marble tile (floor and walls), new marble counter tops, a new bath cabinet, texturing walls, installing a frame less glass shower enclosure, painting (he had to paint the bathroom twice because of a poor color choice). During the process of doing the above remodel, we decided that 2 upstairs bathrooms needed new floor tile which Cesar also did for us. Additionally, we had new granite installed in our kitchen and we asked Cesar to install the limestone backsplash for us. Cesar contracted for us to have a spice cabinet built to enclose the exposed side of the refrigerator, which turned out spectacular. I cannot say enough good about Cesar and his work ethic. He is extremely honest, very thorough, extremely respectful of you and your property. Cesar knows what he is doing and he does not take shortcuts to get the job done, you can be sure that he will do the job the right way. During the time he spent in our home, Cesar and his great colleague Ozzie (Oswaldo) became part of the family. When the job was done we felt like he was moving out. Sort of sad to see them go. Cesar and Ozzie will do well because they make a great team, they are very honest, and they have a superior work ethic, and a talent for remodeling. Above it all, we found Cesar to price his labor very reasonably. For our job, he presented us with the actual invoices for all materials without markup. Rest assured that should we need work done around our new home, we will be calling Cesar and Ozzie back again. Good luck to you Cesar and Ozzie. You deserve all the best!
Good communication. Polite. Professional. On time (early, actually). Good install. The only reason I'm giving a 4 star instead of a 5 star is b/c he changed the price after the project was complete. I was quoted and invoiced $250 for 5 fan installs. He broke the glass dome on one, so he had to go out and get another one (the fan itself is $60). At the end of the job, he asked for $300 and said it's b/c the type of light it has is harder to install than some fans. I should've sent him photos of the fan beforehand, but didn't think it made much difference. But, when he saw the fans prior to starting the job, he never said that they were more complex and it would actually cost $300. It wasn't until after the job was completed. I'm pretty sure he was just trying to cover the expense of having to replace the fan he broke. I highly doubt he would've attempted to charge $300 at the end of the job if everything had gone smoothly. It's fine he broke the fan...accidents happen. But, that is not something I should be liable for. Yes, he did go purchase the new fan w/ his own money, but I feel like he indirectly charged us more for the labor to cover the cost of the fan. I didn't really realize this at the time, so I went ahead and paid him the $300. And he did give me the option of still paying the $250, but I didn't want to come off like a jerk or something if I didn't pay him $300. So, yes at least he gave me the option, but when in that situation, one feels obligated and compelled to pay the higher amount. I don't think he was intentionally trying to rip me off or anything, especially since he gave me the option to still pay $250 as originally agreed upon, but I think in the moment, he just wanted to recoup his costs and didn't think as much about how it would be perceived. But, aside from that, everything was great and he did good work. I have no complaints otherwise. I'd use his services again as long as something like that didn't happen again...lol.
