FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Scout Films is ideal for established businesses that are wanting to move their company's video promotion into more of professional-looking realm. Having worked with brands such as McDonalds, Samsung and Volkswagen, we know what it takes to create a result of the highest standard. To ensure we don't compromise this standard, our entry level jobs tend to start around $15k, with many jobs sitting around the $30-50k mark. How this budget scales up depends on the amount of time shooting, the size of the crew required, extra equipment you desire (drones/multi-camera coverage etc) as well as any specific requests you may have for the edit (bespoke animation etc).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our first job is to listen. We want to know everything possible about your brand; its history, its goals, what makes it unique and what you want to achieve. Then begins the collaboration. We will start to share ideas and references, refining an approach and execution for your film that will not only be best for your brand, but for your budget as well. With an agreed upon a scope of works, we then go away and work up it all up, coming back to you in a few days with a broken down budget for your consideration. Should you choose to accept this budget, contracts will be exchanged and a deposit required. Everything will now be in place - it is time to get your film production underway!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As you will see on the our website, much of my experience comes from directing TV Commercials and branded content for multinational brands over the last 15 years. During this time I have filmed celebrities, interviewed Emperors, filmed from moving cars, created whole worlds in CG VFX and thrown actors out of planes (all survived I promise!) No two days are the same in commercials so we become apt at thinking on our feet, solving problems fast and adapting to the unique needs of each client.
