Hi, I'm Sarah. I started freelance ghostwriting and editing in 2018. In 2020 I turned my side hustle into a full-time endeavor. Developmental editing is my strength as an editor, and I am also adept at proofreading, copyediting, and line editing. My goal for projects I take on is to make the writing stronger and more concise; I do this by mitigating adverbs, adjectives, and other superfluous wording.
I offer clients with a 10,000+ word project a free three page sample edit. This allows us to see how we will work together, and it gives you a chance to see my approach to your project.
For writing projects, I am a thorough researcher and enjoy learning about new topics for written tasks. I am knowledgeable in a plethora of subjects, and I am able to write intelligibly about almost anything. My strongest subjects are faith, mental health, and finance.
I also enjoy administrative assistant work. I am a fast and efficient worker. I love finding ways to automate processes for quick turnaround times.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I can charge by word or by hour. I want to be fair in my pricing, and I am open to negotiation.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I do a free sample edit to see if we are a good fit, and then I will go from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do not have any formal training, but I have been proofreading and editing papers since high school. In 2017, I completed several online creative writing courses through coursera.com. I utilize the lessons I learned in those classes in my editing and writing, whether it is fiction or nonfiction.
I also read between 40 and 60 books a year. I read a mix of fiction and nonfiction, and I am well versed in what makes a book readable and enjoyable for the end user.
