We have dealt with various contractors in the area only to be constantly let down. We originally hired Clippers Quality to clean out on of our destroyed apartment units. We were delighted when we found out not only do they clean, haul junk but also do repairs for a very reasonable fee. They got our unit ready move in record time and it was extremely quality work. We are so happy we finally have a quality company!
If you need a fence repaired or replaced... don't go to a fence installation contractor. You will pay double the price. I contacted a number of contractors for repair of our boundary fence. Fully half didn't bother responding to my voice mail - I assume the job was too small. Of the four that actually responded, three were fence installation contractors and one was fence repair - Al. I could tell from the quote he sent me, he knew his business. There was no guessing. He quoted in linear feet and per post. When asked, he came out immediately to review the job and confirm the price and started working the next day. We were so pleased with his work quality, work ethic, and knowledge that we expanded (doubled) the work. He was able to do it all in two days. We are planning on having him come back to repair another part of the fence soon. Don't waste your time... hire Al for your fence repairs and replacements. He loves what he does, it shows, and you will not regret it.
These guys were really nice, affordable and fast. While many would be reticent about a delay, which did occur in this case. I work in a commercial environment, and I understand that a good contractors schedules will vary because they will stick around at a site to make sure things are done right. The delay was short and not repetitive. They kept in touch and arrived right on time. They had my TV installed fast and made sure to troubleshoot the job before leaving. They pointed out that the TV looked crooked; a fact they could have let me notice after they left and immediately found that the problem was with the crown molding and not their job and went so far as to place a level on each for me to see the issue so that I could have it corrected by my complex. When it came time to pay I realized that I only had a debit card which they couldn't accept. They patiently waited while an ATM was visited so that they could be paid. The most important part is that they were professional and easy going. I will definitely call them back when I move again to reinstall the TV and for any other install that comes up. Kudos to BluStar!
I highly recommend Powell's Lawn and Handyman service. Very reasonable prices, easy to work with, and reliable service. You cant go wrong with Powell's Lawn and Handyman service.
Thank you Jonathan for doing a quick job on our demo. The work was done neatly and your punctuality was helpful in expediting other trades contractors. Thank you so much. I will save your number and call on you anytime I need work done in the future.
Framing, drywall (hanging/repair, tape & float and texture), ext. door install, and some siding replacement, as part of a house remodel. Shelby has a broad range of skills and his work is very good. Showed up consistently as promised until the tasks were complete. Flexible and easy to work with, highly recommended.
Manny was prompt, had very reasonable rates and did excellent work with installing 3 new windows and 2 frame-less shower surrounds. I highly recommend him and I won't hesitate to contact him for future projects.
Fixed Maintenance and Repair are AWESOME .... they have fixed my lighting, plumbing, replaced a sink, and built me a shed. These guys can do anything - on time - professional - high quality. Net net .... they are great.
Painting and staining concrete floor. Ronald was very flexible with my job (due to other contractors not finishing in time), very communicative and has a great attention to detail. He went over and above in doing extras that my previous contractors hadnt and made the place look amazing with the paint job High reccommended
He is a dream come true. We've hired many contractors in the past and have ALWAYS had a problem that had to be dealt with. This was not so for Manuel. He's very professional and very clear about what he will do and exactly how much it will cost. He is extremely careful to keep furniture and floors clean and safe. His prices are extremely reasonable. We will always call him first for any other jobs we need done. Great guy!!!
Great experience working with Fina and Crew. Honest, trustworthy which says a lot since I deal with contractors everyday for work.
He tore out my fireplace and sheet rocked and textured the new wall, he replaced my small porch poles with larger ones and found and repaired a leak on my roof. I would highly recommend Vic Searcy of Searcy Construction to anyone. His bid was very reasonable. He is a crew of 1 but works like 10 men. He does beautiful work and will come back and make it right if you are not happy. I say this because after he was done and paid out we primed the new wall and the seams seemed to pop out after we primed. This was not due to him making a mistake - it really could not be seen with the texture on the wall until the wall was primed. I texted him and told him about what happened and came out the next day to look at it and he repaired it within 2 days. This contractor does not leave you even after you have paid in full - HE WILL MAKE IT RIGHT! I understand the fear you may have about hiring a contractor but with Searcy Contruction your fears are unwarranted. I would hire again. In fact I would not seek any additional bids. He is trustworthy and will do a great job for you.
Very patient. Explains everything if you need him to....Works til he gets the job done. Very patient....purposely reiterated. Respects what you want but also provides valuable advice if your choice is not the best choice for the project. My place was a mess...he got me all fixed up....Other contractors said my job was too small for them...but after meeting Rene showing him what was needed, he took the job anyway cause he 'wanted to help'. I have a bigger project is pending. Now after seeing his work....the bigger project sitting on the back burner is already his! Super pleasant and friendly as well! Couldn't be happier.
Outstanding! Wonderful workmanship. Only company to use for decking needs. Would hire again!
I needed to have 16 linear ft of interior wall removed to open up the house. Additionally, there would be new drywall and repair requirements, flooring, and paint to finish the project. Jim was not the cheapest of the 3 quotes that were offered, but, as an experienced home builder for 30+ years, he impressed, was methodical and scientific in his project approach, is insured, and the pictures of the work that was completed in his portfolio were great. The project did have scope creep, and the cost adjustments were transparent and fair. The project came out to my satisfaction. Professional, meticulous, OCD (it’s great for a contractor), polite, and trustworthy; both individually and in his resourcing and supervision of subcontractors for the areas not under his direct scope (floor and paint). I would also like to add, that during this project, I unfortunately broke my tibia, being immobilized till now. Jim was courteous, ensured area safety, cleanliness, and even when I needed personal aid (an occasional run to the fast food joint) he did it. He cares about his work and his clients.
I recently had My Friend's Roofing replace my roof, I'm excited with the finished product. Professionally across the board as far as the work, they worked within budget, and they know their product. That gave me options to work with them, I've never worked with an contractor with the same enthusiasm as My Friends Company.
I had Ron replace a 66yr old door that was mortared into place. Ron did an outstanding job. I asked him to leave the painting to us, and once we get it painted youll never be able to tell that it was replaced. I have another door that needs replacing, and you better believe that I'll be calling Ron. You don't find many contractor's that show up on time, keep their word, and update you with progress throughout the day. Ron exceeded my expectations. He even text me and told me that he ran out of daylight, but it wasnt 100% to his liking, so he would be back the following morning to put on some finishing touches. Who could ask for more?
We hired Michael from Hartel Homes to remodel two bathrooms upstairs. He took over from a contractor who did a very poor job. Michael and his crew fixed all of the work that was done poorly from the prior contractor. He excels at tile work. Truly first rate. Jose is perhaps the best tile layer we have ever worked with and we've worked with a ton over numerous remodels in multiple homes and multiple states. He laid penny tile bling in an arch and it was done flawlessly. We also hired Hartel Homes to fix the absolutely horrible job initially done by "T-Rex Stone and Tile" based in the Steiner Ranch area and owned by Darrell Miller. The job that T-Rex and Miller did was beyond shoddy and Hartel took over an absolute horror show. Hartel Homes demoed the bathroom and fixed the shower that T-Rex/Miller constructed completely improperly (not to code so bad that the shower didn't drain). Hartel Homes stand apart for three main reasons: 1. They do amazing work--especially with tile including marble 2. They are very responsive and when they made a small error they completely owned it and fixed it no questions asked (that is no small feat as nearly every other contractor would have blamed someone else, etc. Hartel owned it and fixed the issue and the end result was stellar and 3. While they are not the lowest cost provider they offer a very good value. I recommend Hartel Homes and Michael Hartel Homes (and his other company "Investor Depot") without reservation. They do amazing work at a fair price and I doubt you'll be able to find a better contractor in Austin. He's busy, which is not surprising but hire him so that you can get on the list. Great job Michael and thank you for your professionalism and high quality work.
Best contractor is Austin!
I’m a contractor as well, and Bill contacted me with with pertinent information in a timely manner. Called me when there were things happening on the job that may have effected my arena of concern. And was always available for consultation about the job. Seemed to have a good grasp of the construction field, as well as construction management.
We hired Cutting Edge after dealing with several nightmare contractors. We were traumatized by our previous experiences so much so that we were scared to work with anyone in Austin again. We started with a foundation job on one house, expanded from there. We have now hired them on 3 different homes. Cutting Edge has taken over 2 jobs that other contractors completely botched and they have saved our bacon. They are currently working on a full rehab and addition for us. We are always consulted every step of the way and all costs are disclosed ahead of the work performed. Our houses look beautiful. The quality of the work is high end and communication with the owner is great. The subs were also professional, respectful and very skilled. Working with these guys has felt like a collaboration and we can't imagine working with anyone else.
