Dot the Swim Teacher

Dorothy “Dot” has been passionate about swimming and water safety since the age of 14. With over nine years of swim instruction experience, six years of lifeguarding, and a competitive high school swimming background, she brings both technical skill and real-world safety expertise to every lesson. Dot teaches all four competitive strokes as well as lifesaving and recreational techniques tailored to each student’s goals. In addition to her aquatic experience, she has served as a lead summer camp counselor and holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration. When she’s not in the water, Dot works as an associate director for a nonprofit organization. She finds deep fulfillment in helping students grow in both skill and confidence and is always eager to equip more individuals with this essential, lifesaving ability.
