Lauren was so helpful. She had exactly the training style we appreciated. I was able to watch her do simple things from the moment she walked in to prevent the bad behaviors I was trying to change, they worked! She was so thorough and explained everything so it made sense, but it wasn't hard to learn and easy to facilitate. She showed me areas where I was lacking in my own authority with my dogs that could be contributing to their lack of security in me and causing some of the pushiness, demands for attention and some aggression. Even areas I didn't think my dog needed training with, like the walk, Lauren showed me so many changes i needed to make and it was a move leaps and bounds ahead of where. I'm so proud of my dog (and me for learning what to do!)! I think we are well on our way to our goal. Will definitely use Lauren again! Already know we'll need her when we get our puppy, then I'm sure, refreshers. Thankfully, she comes to Fort Worth. She was worth it and we'll use her again. Highly recommend her.
I was in a long search for a dog trainer that had ample experience with German Shepherds, as everywhere I looked, it was more of a cookie cutter/group training class where I could not get the results or experience for training this breed that I was looking for. I finally came across Butch through a reference from the DFWGSR, and after having several phone conversations with him, I made a decision that I was going to take my 7 month old German Shepherd with him for a 2 week board and train. His knowledge on GSD's and other working breeds is impressive and the results are great. He does a great job in getting your dog to where you can take over and continue the work at home with much less effort. I can honestly say that this is the best dog trainer that I have come across. The results you get speak for his years of experience and love for dogs. I definitely recommend Butch and his team if you want impressive results, service and the type of experience you get after training dogs for all type of service work for over 30 years.
Maury is extremely knowledgable when it comes to dog training. Not just a dog sitter! Give him a few minutes and ask about your dog's well-being. You will not be disappointed!
Lynette did a wonderful job training a dog we had rescued. She was very professional and cares about what she does! I would highly recommend Lynette and Happy Pets!!!
Nicole came to our home to provide dog training services. She was professional and personable. Our dog responded great to her. We are working on the skills she taught us and are having good success. Would highly recommend her!
I found Nancy online almost a year ago, and found myself having a hard time figuring out what dog training classes I needed for my dog Bowinkle. We had just adopted Bowinkle and he was about 6 months old and into everything and HORRIBLE at walking on a leash. When I called and spoke to Nancy I immediately felt I had made the right choice in calling her first. I didn't want to have to take Bowinkle to a class group setting and not get one-on-one attention and struggle with Bowinkle being to "interested" in the other dogs. The fact that Nancy does all visits at our house and offers many different types of service plans was a huge plus. I had no clue what we were getting into and how long we may or may not need her. We decided to sign up for a year; since then she has come every 2-3 weeks. What I like most about Bark Busters is we as dog owners are learning the correct way to train our dog(s) and become their Pack Leader. I can have as many dogs as I want from here on out and know that I can train/lead them on my own, and if I have a hard time I can call Nancy and she'll be here to assist. Nancy is a very professional and respectful person whom my pets, and myself have grown to love. I recommend her to everyone who is interested in dog training. I thought my Bowinkle was never going to grow out of his old habits and today I have a completely different dog. Thank you so much Nancy for your help, care and knowledge. Thanks, Krystin Scott
Over the last year, I have been fortunate to have Hilton Butler from K-9 Bootcamp train my puppy so he could become a therapy dog. From the first encounter with the Butler family I knew my dog would be in good hands. They understood the purpose of his training and knew what he would have to learn in order to become a therapy dog for kids with special needs. I was greatly relieved to know that my dog would be staying in their house with their children. This meant a lot to me since my dog spent 6 weeks being trained. To know that he would not be neglected in a kennel on a large property was a huge relief. Auggie was immediately welcomed by all family members and was treated like one of their own pets. He was in loving hands from the moment he walked in the door. I felt that Hilton was able to apply various protocols to meet my dogs needs due to his extensive background with K-9 training in the military, police, and service dog environments. Hilton demonstrates a firm hand while training, but uses positive reinforcement as well, which was needed for my dog. He ensures that you know the protocols to carry over in the home environment after training is complete. If there was any question regarding Auggies behaviors at home, Hilton was available by email, phone, and even conducted follow up sessions at my house. K-9 Boot Camp is a professional and loving dog training facility. They excel in providing individual treatment to meet your specific training goals. Customer service and compassion for their work shines through. Hilton, took time on a Sunday in November to drive all the way to Auggies therapy test for moral support. Auggie passed with flying colors and now comes to work everyday as a certified therapy dog. He is happy in his new role making sure all kids have a smile on their face while receiving therapy! We could not have done it with out Hilton.
Wanda was very helpful with explaining training to us with our dog. Great information.
I initially chose Zoom Room to enroll my 8 week old puppy into puppy preschool for socialization and basic obedience. This was the best decision! Heather is great and my puppy just passed his AKC S.T.A.R. puppy test! He will now be moving on to puppy obedience and we will definitely keep coming back here! There is outstanding agility equipment here and my puppy loves learning the agility course mixed in with his obedience training! A great way to keep them engaged and learning and also super fun for the owners too! I highly recommend coming to Zoom Room for your dog/puppy training needs! We will keep coming!
Tammy is very good with animals. She gave us a lot of useful information to help us in working with our dogs. The sessions worked more with the owners than dogs. Just keep in mind it will be up to the owner to do the training not the All About Dogs staff. We were wanting someone to work with our dogs and train them and for us to reinforce what they were taught. In 2 sessions this was not an obtainable goal. We are happy with our start but have a long way to go.
Pamela provides personal, professional service that fits your schedule and needs. She trained our Havanese and he is a happy, better dog because of it. I can walk with him off leash and he will stay with me or on walks he never pulls his leash and follows simple commands. I highly recommend Positively Dog and Pamela Christy for your dog training needs.
Brian was very good with our dog. He's much better walking on a leash and listens to us better than when he left. The only downside to training our dog this way is that it's a remote location so we have far more distractions in our neighborhood than out on the ranch. But Brian did some socialization training and left us with good tips and instructions for continuing to help our dog learn that he needs to be calm when approaches other dogs. Our dog was sad to see Brian leave.
This review is only based on customer service, not the dog training as I have not dropped my pup off for board and train yet. I will this weekend. Amber made me feel comfortable with her personable attitude and extensive knowledge of dog training. I'm expecting a positive experience and will update after training!
She was so fabulous with my dog, my dog is anxious initially when meeting strangers, Lisa was able to become his good friend within the first few minutes. Our 1st session was great.
Brandon did a great job training my dog, Tobias. He took the time and was patient with my boxer/lab mix. Tobias had a large problem with obeying my commands in public with distractions. He now is able to focus on me! I just need to keep up all the hard work Brandon put in! Thank you Brandon for everything!
Bill was great! We met with Bill for a 6-week period, at our home and at a Park. We rescued a dog who was aggressive to other dogs, but otherwise "sweet as pie." Bill helped us get to know Zack and learn how to communicate with him to get the best response from him. We completed the basic class, but we all agreed that we would meet again for advanced training when the weather was cooler. We look forward to working with Bill again soon. We highly recommend Bill to anyone who is looking for an excellent dog trainer.
We have two terriers, ages 4 and 5. We adopted both animals well into their adulthood, and neither had any training. We put up with the accidents in the house, the nipping, and the complete lack of obedience for far too long because we wanted our new additions to settle in before we started correcting their behavior. Well, that is where Damon came in. He assured us that our dogs could behave AND go to the bathroom outside. That they were not the worlds worst (although cutest) dogs, but actually good dogs! What? My dogs can be trained? I was a little skeptical. Initially, we signed up for a private session. We love our dogs, but surely he would change his mind when he met them. Our dogs interacted with Damon wonderfully. They are a little much at times, and he knew exactly how to handle them to get them to calm down or play. We worked on some potty training techniques and talked about the format of his training class. Sure enough, we enrolled our dogs into a six week beginner course and they really responded. They enjoyed going to the park once a week, interacting with other dogs and humans, and best of all, working for food! Never in a million years did I think my dog would "sit" on command. Now they sit, wait, lay down, touch, and leave it! AND THEY POTTY OUTSIDE. I know these things may seem extremely basic to some people, but I honestly didn't think my dogs could be trained - not even to sit. I know some of you out there have dogs like mine. I do want to say, Damon only provides the tools. If you do not reinforce the expected behavior at home then your dogs will not respond. Our dogs were ready to work every Saturday morning, but not so much when we got home. Once we started enforcing those expected behaviors we got much better results. Be prepared to put in just as much work as your pup. I highly recommend Damon! Can't wait to enroll our dogs in more advanced training!
I became a professional dog trainer in 2011. My passion are dogs with no structure. I provide 30-minute to an-hour walks. I do accept aggressive dogs.
I can train dogs. I am a dog person. I feed pets and pet sit for people who are out of town. I walk dogs, bathe them, exercise them and do everything else that you need me for.
Here at Canine Capable, we approach training and rehabilitation with positive and effective techniques. Here, we believe anything is "pawsible"!
