One of our first goals was to produce professional demo reels for voice over work. David’s approach allowed me to learn the necessary skills to become a professional voice over artist in a reasonably short amount of time. Our sessions included exercises to work on articulation, tone, pace. At the end of approximately, five months, I was ready to record demos for commercials, audiobooks and animation. Even in the process of recording my demo, David was there to assist in the recording and production. He literally walks you through the process. David is also a professional himself, is always prompt to our sessions, and offers help in anyway that he can. When opportunities for voice over work comes across his desk, he eagerly shares those opportunities with me and other eager students on his roaster. He also offers an opportunity for all of his students to come together and share their progress and critique each others work. Literally, students from across the country sit under David’s tutelage. David has also been a help in other aspects of preparing my business as a voice over artist. He has recommended website designers, photographers and logo designers. One of the things that makes David a unique asset to a voice over artist is his connection with so many people. His work as the owner of a private school as well as his work in real estate gives him a database of people in many different fields. Testament to this, David is often a guest speaker for several organizations seeking his motivational words and direction. I have gained so much from David’s knowledge from real estate, to referrals for mechanics and home improvements.
