At Alpha Tail Academy, we understand that every dog is unique and has different needs, which is why our pricing varies depending on the specific requirements of each dog and their owner. The best way to determine the right package and pricing is to set up a free evaluation where we can assess your dog’s behavior and discuss tailored training options. Any business that offers a fixed price upfront without an assessment may not fully understand the individual needs of your dog. We aim to provide transparent, customized pricing to ensure the best results. Discounts or special offers may be available occasionally, and we’re happy to discuss those during your evaluation. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a free in-home evaluation, where one of our professional trainers meets with you and your dog in your own environment. This consultation allows us to understand your dog’s behavior, background, daily routines, and your training goals. From there, we design a custom training plan tailored to your dog’s age, temperament, and learning style — whether that means confidence building, behavior modification, socialization, or advanced obedience. We offer both in-home training for real-world results on your schedule and board-and-train programs for dogs who need more intensive support. Throughout the process, we stay in close contact with regular updates, coaching, and guidance. Because no two dogs are the same, we use a variety of proven training methods and adjust as needed to ensure meaningful, lasting progress — not just during sessions, but well beyond.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team brings a strong foundation of professional certifications and hands-on experience in canine behavior, learning theory, and species-specific communication. Each trainer has completed extensive education, mentorship, and real-world behavioral case work with dogs of all backgrounds — from high-drive working breeds to misunderstood family pets. At Alpha Tail Academy, we believe there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. That’s why we’re skilled in a variety of training methods, allowing us to adapt our techniques based on how each individual dog learns, responds, and thrives. We are also certified AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluators and regularly expand our knowledge through continuing education, workshops, and collaboration with veterinary professionals.
