Victor was very conscientious and explained things as he went. We ended up not needing any materials for the job which was because he knew how to make the necessary adjustments to what was in place which was a very nice surprise.
I will definitely have him do additional work, hopefully before the end of the year. I highly recommend him to anyone.

Victor was excellent. He came on Christmas Eve and worked into fairly late hours. He did a number of small jobs and several complicated over the course of a number of hours. He also took a lunch break and when he checked back in it corresponded with my notes of when he left. He pointed out a slow toilet leak inside the tank I hadn't noticed (it's upstairs, we had only been in the home 9 days at that point, our primary bedroom is downstairs)

Victor was a thorough professional with a pleasant demeanor. I had two smart toilets scheduled for installation; unfortunately, the first arrived broken and could not be installed. Victor carefully repacked the entire toilet—better than how it was originally received—so it could be shipped back.
He then patiently installed the second toilet, testing it multiple times to ensure everything was functioning properly and that there were no leaks. He left the area completely clean. Victor clearly knows his trade and takes pride in his work. I highly recommend him.

ThumbTack limited me to listing only three things that I appreciated about Good American Handyman’s work, otherwise I would have included the other two, Professionalism and Responsiveness.
Good American Handyman was very responsive and flexible in scheduling with me. He worked quickly, only taking 2 hours on a plumbing job that would have taken me most of the day. What I really appreciated was how he worked from the moment he walked in the door to the second he left. He charged me exactly the amount of time he worked and he used that time efficiently. I will recommend him to friends and neighbors throughout Westbury. We will definitely be calling him again.

Victor did an amazing and efficient job taking down the fan and lighting in my bedroom and replacing it with a new lighting fixture. Highly recommend Victor for your electrical needs.
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I base my pricing on the project instead of by the hour, so you don’t have to worry about being milked for wasted time. I give discounts for long list of projects around the house that need work done. If you need me to run to Home Depot, I do charge $50 per run, which is not very much but I know Home Depot really well.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing I need to know is the scope of the work. For example, if you need Barn doors assembled and Hung, I will need to know the barn doors have not been assembled yet so you don’t just tell me you need Barn Doors Hung. I’ll ask you ceiling Heights for light installations and if I need to bring my ladder or if you have one available that I can borrow other than that, I have all the tools I need and I’m there to answer any questions you have before I get started, you can count on me to clearly answer your questions so you feel confident in the work that I’m gonna provide for you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have hands-on training from the age of nine and my father was a home building cabinet making Handyman who taught me how to use some of the finer tools of the trade and to always do a job right or not do it at all. I have flipped Record breaking houses as far back as 2015 and my work ethic is strong.
