- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask the contractor for references of his work and if it would be ok to call the references provided. Do not work with someone that asks for money before performing any of the work, if they say they need money before performing any work i.e. for materials, etc this is a red flag and do not work with them. If it is a large remodel ( $10,000 plus) the contractor should discuss payments (draws) to cover his cost of materials & employees throughout the project.
