- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1) During my assessment of your student, we will establish what academia is known and methods of learning your student is comfortable with. New knowledge is facilitated through associations and connections that the learner creates with previous knowledge. It is essential that these indicators are identified early. 2) After establishing your student's strengths, we must begin to delve into what is causing the confusion in what appears to be a weakness. Negative stigmas cause panic and fear levels to rise. Consequently, the student's ability to process drastically drops as anxiety increases. Some of these triggers need to be redefined, and others need to be avoided. 3) Math and Science are different languages than their Liberal Arts counter part. In this part of the assessment, we clarify how much of the language is known to the student and how much is foreign. Upon concluding these elements, we will come up with a plan of action that will consistently revamped, monitored and evaluated to ensure student growth and progress.

Dexter is a University of Houston graduate and has been a Science and Math Instructor for 5 years on the secondary level. He is experienced with the Education standards of Texas.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
A colleague of mine recommended me for physics tutoring, and I immediately found a niche. I am naturally passionate about learning and family, and tutoring is a wondrous opportunity for me to facilitate knowledge while building confidence in families.
