FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of documents notarized are Real Estate Loan Closings, Refinances, Medical Records, Medical Billing, Legal Documents, Wills, Directives, Debt related documents, Affidavits, Parental Consents - we are always available to perform all Notary Public related services! I am not a lawyer. I am a Notary Public commissioned by the state of Texas. A Notary is forbidden from preparing legal documents or acting as a legal advisor unless he or she is also an attorney. Violators can be prosecuted for the unauthorized practice of law, so a Notary cannot answer your legal questions or provide advice about your particular document.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When searching for a mobile notary - seek out experience, bonded and insured notaries. Professional Notaries that invest in their business - which is themselves - tend to be more dependable and know that their attention to detail and accuracy is as important to their business as it is to yours. Get their fees up front and don't be afraid to shop around. Some states - Texas for instance has state mandated fees that a notary is allowed to charge for every notarial act that we are allowed to perform - beyond those fees your notary - if mobile will charge a travel fee. Most notaries charge a set fee plus a per mile charge over a certain distance - please remember that a mobile notary charges this fee for expenses in that travel process. As a client - search for a notary close to where you need them to come. Ask for references and check the Notary database to make sure that your notary is in good standing and current.
