He was cheaper than most of the other quotes I got, and yet I think his portfolio was the best by far. I was looking for new professional portraits to use for LinkedIn and other professional materials, but I detest the "stock photo" style of professional head shots that plague this space. His work has more personality and is less retouched - so my skin doesn't look plastic. We booked an appointment early in the morning on a Saturday at Hermann Park and Rice U in order to capture the best light. I had some ideas and he had also scouted good locations. I should also say, I've worked with many photographers and Matt had, I think, the most gear and tools for shooting on location that I've ever seen! He was also very personable, relaxed and easy to work with, which always helps to create better work that looks more natural and not posed. I've so far received about half of the final edited photos, and they're looking great! I'm looking forward to the rest!"See more

Awesome! I am totally satisfied with the service Unika Photography provided to me. I needed updated modeling headshots, so I paid for the basic package they offer. I was pleasantly surprised that I got such great quality service/photos in comparison with my older model headshots! What I liked the most, is that they did multiple different light configurations that each gave a distinct feel and look, even though I only asked for a basic session. My previous headshots have always just been with a single light configuration so all of the pictures seemed the same. Needless to say, all photos turned out with amazing quality and now I feel the difference between amature and professional photography. Both the photographer and the assistant are very smart, easy-going and comfortable to work with. I can’t wait to do my engagement shoot with them later this year :).

My godmother took me for my first real photo shoot and I loved it! I'm 15 now and I want to do some modeling and commercials and I needed a professional portfolio. I had two outfits and she brought two backgrounds and the session was on! Ms. Anderson was great, she made the session fun and my godmother and I are so pleased with the results! I now have my first photo portfolio and I hope to be able to sit with Ms. Anderson again for some pictures outside in the spring and also some more pictures with some of my other outfits. She is patient and she gives clear directions and like I said, she made it fun!
