After two lessons with Dr. Ganz I am excited to already see progress toward my singing goals. It was immediately apparent how much I will be able to learn from studying with Dr. Ganz. She is prompt, professional, very qualified, and encouraging. I am very grateful to get to work with her!

I have taken lessons with Dr. Ganz for many years. I am very delighted at her teaching methods and her extensive knowledge of repertoire. As an adult student, this is my favorite activity of the week. There is so much left to learn!

My daughter, a Senior at HSPVA, has been receiving vocal instruction from Dr. Ganz for about 16 months, when we moved into Houston. Previously, she was at Walnut Hill School for the Arts (Natick, MA) as part of their voice program for 1 year. We had lived overseas for many years and my daughter showed a lot of musical talent, but opportunities to provide higher level instruction were minimal, which is why we tried a high-end Arts school in the Boston area. While she advanced significantly during her time in Boston, the program did not meet our expectation and circumstances led our family to Houston. In Dr. Ganz, we found everything we could ask for in an instructor for my daughter. I had sat in on a few vocal lessons for her during the last year and upon sitting in on the first lesson with Dr. Ganz I saw immediately what had been missing. She established communication that immediately helped my daughter connect physical-muscular sensations with her vocal sound. With every outcome she wants to effect, she uses a variety of different techniques or vocal exercises to assist in the process, as well as, stating her ideas and instructions in different ways until she has connected with the student. Dr. Ganz brings all of her talents and background to each lesson with a level of energy that inspires the best in my daughter. She and I walked out of her first lesson with Dr. Ganz, having had the year at a high-priced Arts school, and we were simply amazed at the difference. The challenge for us now is to make sure that we find a college where her vocal instruction will meet the level she is now accustomed to. All this, with humor, warmth, and caring. She is the most professional person I have met in Houston.

Dr. Ganz is a great inspiration to my daughter, who, in one year, went from being a novice singer to being accepted into HSPVA. Dr. Ganz is engaging, knowledgable, and so encouraging. An added bonus are the concerts she holds periodically at her home, bringing together old and current students to perform for each other - it's an impressive group!

Miss. Granz is very rude, my first initial conversation with her she was upset because I mispronunciation her name and laughed at me on the phone and asked was I serious. But I did my best to look over that and decided to go ahead and book a lesson! Only to get a rude message because I had to reschedule due to an accident at my job. She told me how I blew it with her and to go find another teacher! I did message her back and let her know that she blew it not me because she should remember the student gets on this site to hire a teacher not the other way around. I guess she would be good for those who have a high tolerance for rude behavior and but I'm not paying my money to be disrespected. That attitude does not make you a pro or a good teacher it just makes you intolerable. Wed Nov 9 9:08 AM Good morning Dr. Granz Unfortunately, I am going to have to ask for a rescheduling of my first initial lesson. There was in anincident at work this morning and I have been called into a meeting and am unsure how long it will last. I am very aware of how horrible this looks and truly was very excited to be having such an opportunity! I do hope that we can make the lesson up, but I understand if you don't wish to proceed. Thank you so much. I would have called but I remembered you said you had an engagement in the bay area you had to attend and I didn't want to disrupt you. You blew it, Dakneisha. Find another teacher. Dr. I. Ganz Wed Nov 9 9:45 AM Thank you! And no Mame you blew it with this rude and unprofessional response! To be very honest with you. You blew it the first time I called your phone and how rude you were at the simplest mispronunciation of your name I knew then that you were rude and unprofessional and that we probably wouldn't be a good fit! But the kind of person I am thought no don't pass judgment go ahead and take the lesson. I see now my first initial thought of you was indeed correct! When you don't have sense enough to realize life brings about unexpected changes and some things are out of your control then Miss Granz you have lost touch with reality! A child was struck by a motorist and I witnessed it while driving and I have to give my statement! I don't know what you thought you would accomplish with this immature response but it has just caused another person you have come in contact with to see how unkind and unforgiving you are! I am not going to beg for a lesson with you or ask for another chance No because you were being interviewed for the Job, not me! I, Miss Granz was hiring you! And please remember going forward that the student pays you not the other way around miss and so to end this correspondence I would like to say thank you for saving me trouble, time and money now I can go hire a teacher with more respect for the student and for people in general!
Dr. Isabelle Ganz's reply
I am sorry that this woman named Dakneisha B. is still so upset after a year that she took the trouble to update her unkind review. Unfortunately, she can't review my teaching because we never met! I wish her all the best and hope that she finds it possible to move on and find a teacher who pleases her.
