Ive tried personal trainers a handful of times and most want to spend the first several classes talking about goals and package commitments. Day 1 with Alex was straight to business. The style is pure body weight and core exercises so theres no cheating or sugarcoating with weight training. Alex attention to detail stuck out immediately altering exercises and stretches to facilitate my strengths and weaknesses. His first two classes were free to ensure his style and program was what I was looking for. Im just in the beginning stages of getting where I want to be physically but I’m certain with Alex that I will be there sooner than later.
After tainting with Ken for a couple of months I feel confedent and secure in my abilities to defend myself. Ken is a great teacher and really cares about what he is doing. Plus the classes are extremely fun!
Working with Sid you not only have a fitness professional but also a mentor. He is always open to discussing any questions you have and will keep your mindset where it needs to be to achieve your goals. It’s all about team work and support with him and for me personally that’s what I really need. If you haven’t attended one of his classes you are missing out!
I have taken many classes from Jerry, great instructor! Extremely knowledgeable in his field, and he makes it fun. Highly reccomend him.
Itâs only been a month, but I already feel the difference and improvement in my fitness level. Ricky is personable but the sessions can be intense, which is a good thing to me. He also keeps you going with a good balance of cardio, resistance training, and boxing which keeps things from becoming tedious. He makes sure you don't overexert yourself, but still keeps it challenging and progressive. I would highly recommend Ricky as a trainer.
Michelle coached me for a few months at a point where I was running a practice full time, taking classes full time, and I still had a family and house to run. Her insight and ability to judge just how much support I needed were invaluable. I fully believe it was instrumental in prioritizing and coming out on the other side unscathed.
Lenny worked over a period of about six months with our 12-year old son, we'll call him "Frank," a hyper-articulate but irresponsible ADHD kid whose favorite physical activity is mousing with his right hand while snacking with his left, and who previously resolutely resisted all attempts to engage him in sports or exercise. Lenny realized that if he engaged Frank's brain, his body would follow. Lenny made the training sessions fun (in part, by patiently and attentively listening to Frank’s passions of the day) so that Frank looked forward to them, and even took some responsibility for being ready to start on time. The training focused on core strength and karate kata. Physically, we saw Frank's ability to move increase markedly over time, going from a slumping lumber to movements that approached grace. Mentally and emotionally, Frank developed a strong desire to live up to Lenny’s expectations and take responsibility for his own nutrition and physical activity. I don’t know how we will find someone else with Lenny’s patience, humor, and calm discipline to play a similar role in Frank’s life, but I believe Lenny’s work over the past six months has awakened in Frank a sense of self-discipline and responsibility that will continue to develop. Having tried ourselves to begin that awakening, we cannot be more appreciative of what Lenny has accomplished in this short time period. Our only regret is that we couldn’t find the time for Lenny to be our trainer too.
The owner, the instructors, the more intimate class size leads to an environment conducive to developing quickly within the discipline and general fitness. It's a place you will be pushed out of your comfort zone, the ambience is that of a typical nascent martial arts gym on the come up. If you want fancy and flashy, look elsewhere. If you want to take your training seriously and get the attention from small class sizes and you are willing to give your hardest effort, I believe this is the place to progress quickly and intelligently. The intellectual capital and sum of experience available amongst the instructors is commensurate with any high level gym and the humility and welcoming atmosphere exceeds them.

When i first came to Haganah Houston I was overweight and out of shape and couldnt have defended myself if i wanted to.... almost a yr later I am 55lbs lighter in the best shape and I have confidence and tools to defend myself.... HH is a great family oriented place to train.. All egos are left at the door, John and Chris are great instructors at teaching and keeping everyone safe and free from injury ,,,,,,,,,,,,

We offer instruction in Okinawa Gojuryu for children and adults. Although our style has roots that date back more than 400 years, our techniques are supported by western and eastern sciences, including proper body mechanics, intrinsic energy, sports medicine, and more. I have more than 35 years of martial arts experience, including black belts and extensive training in taekwondo, jujutsu, Filipino arnis, taiji, western boxing, as well as other Japanese and Okinawa karate.
Every day GLOW offers different exercises that work your entire body. There is no way to get bored with this training, every day is something new which helps you to feel strong and healthy. Luis is next to you to teach you or correct you during the exercises. Classes are small so it is like having a personal trainer every day. Of course you can see the results of the workout pretty soon and that is your motivation !!!
I really enjoyed and learn from Uriel's Muay Thai classes. He has great communication skills and is passionate about teaching which makes him a superb instructor. His private classes are 100% recommendable.
