FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically design a sample of the website they are looking for to make it easier to determine if I am a good fit for their project. This sample mock-up is at no cost or obligation. Once it is determined that I can complete their project, we have a consultation sessions where I get to understand their needs and requirements as well as their expectations. I outline the process and time-frame for the project. We also discuss costs and payment schedules that fit with their budget.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In terms of search engine optimization and marketing along with social media marketing, there is no formal education. It's still the wild west out there. I follow a lot of blogs and information sites from industry professionals that are willing to share their knowledge. There is a vibrant network of SEO and SEM pros out there that love to bounce ideas around. We study what works and what doesn't for search engines as well as keeping up with the updates that the search engines give us. Google, for example, is very forthcoming on what is and what is not good practices when working on rankings and its important that you follow their advice.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was never interested in computers in terms of programming. I liked to use it as a tool to design. I love marketing, the ideas that push us to do things.
