For the past 4 years, I have had Jill take annual photos of my horse and I. I treasure these pictures not only because I get to have a history of my horse, but also because of how well Jill captures us. A lot of people comment on the quality of Jill's photos, including other artists and photographers. I continue to go back to Jill for her photography skill and professionalism, as well as how easy she is to work with. Trying to take photos with a horse is not easy, but Jill is always up to the challenge, and she delivers great results. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

Ms. Hakala was a fantastic photographer. She did both my engagement and wedding photos. I was constantly impressed by her professionalism, timeliness, and vision. She was very responsive to our wants and needs while also encouraging us to try shots we hadn't considered. They turned out to be the best of the lot! I cannot recommend her highly enough. She was also very quick in getting our pictures edited and to us.

We hired Jill for photographing Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday services, and were nothing but impressed with the results. On top of being flexible about locations and venue (indoor, outdoor, and moving around),she made sure that she followed instructions regarding areas to avoid, and etiquette during service. Upon posting her work on our webpage, I have heard nothing but people rave about how nice the photos turned out. Turnaround time was amazing - edited and provided 300+ photos in 48 hours - and it's truly a pleasure working with someone who can bring a sense of humor and whimsy into the world of event photography.

This is something that I love to do. I always want to go out and take photos. I want to go to a job that I'm enthusiastic about.

Mostly portrait work and engagements/weddings.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Most recently I did a job where I took candid photos of a band while they performed in a local bar. I showed them some of the shots after the show was over, and they were thrilled with how they looked on the camera. Made me even more excited to get the shots onto my computer so I could really play around with them and make them more spectacular.
