Chris and his coworkers are very friendly and professional. They helped me moved and cleaned out my room very good. I'm very happy with their service and would recommend them to anyone.
We hired Vladim to paint the majority of our house including a two story living room. He was inexpensive, eager to work, and worked tirelessly. For the most part, the paint looks ok but we did have to request he come back and redo some things he did sloppily. My main complaint was that he left a huge mess in our yard. Paint got all over our grass and patio so we will have to get it power washed. We also found a cigarette carton and some butts on the ground near the hose he used. Wish he had put his stuff in the trash. Overall, the paint looks ok and he was very willing to work with us to make sure we were satisfied for that I give him 4 stars.
Les worked for me on three occasions, each time for fairly extensive periods, averaging 2 - 3 months each time. Originally, I wanted to fix up our old place before selling it. The bathrooms were the main area of interest, and he suggested using tile for the lavatories which had originally been done in cultured marble that had yellowed and stained over time. The finished results looked outstanding. When he had completed the majority of the original work, a roof leak following a storm damaged my wooden floors and the ceiling and wall sheetrock upstairs. A few months later, Les returned and re-floored partial sections of two upstairs rooms. The original flooring had been applied with glue, so it was extremely difficult to get the floor level again so that new wood could be laid, but he managed to do so, and the net result was that the new flooring blended in seamlessly. Damage to the ceiling was also repaired expertly. Finally, when we moved into our new place, Les 1) made a number of sheetrock repairs throughout the house, 2) repainted most of the house (2400 sq. feet with several flights of stairs), 3) removed the carpeting and refloored the downstairs bedroom/office using hardwood, and 4) built a custom wall-to-wall (8' wide by 8' high) bookcase in one of the upstairs rooms, and 4) applied an epoxy coating to the garage. I was extremely satisfied with the quality of all of the work and feel confident in saying that Les can take on any challenge given to him. He is also dependable and trustworthy.
Curtis is the BEST. I saw some of his uploaded photos on Thumbtack and saw that he created a headboard out of reclaimed wood. As soon as I saw it I knew he could help me with an idea I had with some old lumber I had from a treasured project my dad was working on years ago. Curtis was able to finish the project and now its a featured piece in our living room, a beautiful memoriam of my dad. Thank you, Curtis!
Cahal Construction renovated my kitchen and living room for about $25,000. I love how everything turned out! Les Cahal's crews did high quality work for a reasonable price. Les always answered all my phone calls and questions right away. They finished on time and on budget. I would use Cahal Construction again and recommend it to anyone.
Needed my spare bedroom repainted. David did a great job! Will be using his service again in the near future.
Kevin painted my living room, that has 20 ft ceilings and my stairway. He did a wonderful job. He was on time and professional. We definitely plan on using him for future home fixing up needs.
Dirty Birds Services was selected to repaint our living room and stairwell as well as install vinyl flooring, install two electrical floor outlets, and replace crown molding while adding some molding along the floor and doors and windows. They did not present the lowest bid, but their attention to detail and the time and effort spent in covering all facets of the job with us, won us over . All in all, we couldn't be more pleased with the job they did. They finished on schedule and managed to do what was promised -- and then some -- while still holding true to their estimate. Two hardworking, trustworthy and multi-talented ladies. They were genuinely excited what they were doing. Dirty Birds Services comes highly recommended by my wife and I.
Scott was a very friendly contractor who was willing to drive a long way to help with adding a wall and door to a room. His rate was very reasonable and he even helped fix a few related side items. His work was solid (though painting could have been a bit cleaner) and his work ethic was diligent. Scott was very personable and open-hearted, which helped make the working relationship more pleasant. Overall, he did his work efficiently, though it took slightly longer than anticipated and we are pleased with the final result. Some details could have been done better (e.g., alignment of lock on pocket door), but they are very minor compared to the overall project (plus, he was able to fix items we saw and requested to be modified, for example, straightening the light switch board after he had to move it to accommodate for the new wall). I recommend Scott for your home remodeling needs.
Bruce repainted our master bedroom and formal dining room. The work was exactly what we asked for, everything looked very professional and was completed on schedule. Bruce is very easy to work with and his pricing is very competitive. We plan on using Bruce again in the near future.
We have used Handy B for several jobs including re-tiling a bathroom, removal of a sun room, and exterior siding replacement and painting. Work is done in a professional manner at a good price. Will definitely use Handy B again.
Charlie Thompson did the ceramic tile in the guest bathroom and the laundry room. His bid was competitive and I appreciate his skill and attention to detail in doing a good job. I would hire him again.
We hired dla to open a wall up between our living room an family room. Dave came out an gave us our options based on opening size an load calculations He showed us the different ways to do it and the benefits of each way. This was way beyond what others had proposed or told us. They got into the wall and was able to do some amazing things. We love it Our friends are jealous which is pretty cool We are talking about some other projects for them to do. Bathroom remodel or kitchen remodel come on Texas lottery. My wife is very happy
We moved in to a house that was built in 1956 that needed a lot of remodeling to say it mildly! We contacted Paul for help! He came in cheerfully and very positive. We especially needed help in the kitchen. It was so old dirty and crowded and no dishwasher. He was able to cut the hanging cabinets and lower the counter dividing the kitchen and dining room that opened up the whole area! Dishwasher? No problem... He was able to use some of the lower cabinets space to install it right next to the sink! Really appreciated his positive and helpful attitude. He is also a home inspector so he knew all the codes and specs needed. He also helped us figure out how to lift a very heavy bath tub so the plumber could fix the broken iplumbing. Very resourceful and honest. Went beyond our expectations. So glad we contacted Paul. Will use him again. Forgot to mention he painted our cabinets in the kitchen inside and out. You wouldn't believe the transformation at a very affordable price. Thanks Paul!
We have hired Candice to redecorate almost our entire home (every space except the kids' rooms). So far it has been a great experience. She is very professional yet personable-and seems to really hear and understand what you are wanting to do. Her ideas for the room designs seem to be just what I want. Our makeover is in a few weeks-I can't wait!!!
Mr. Johnson has done a number of jobs over the past few years. These include painting, installation of lighting and removing of paneling in my dining room. The paneling was replaced with Sheetrock, taped, floated and texture painted. Mr. Johnson has also replaced numerous fascia boards on the exterior of my home. His work is excellent as is his work ethic. I have felt comfortable enough to leave him in my home doing his work when I was unable to be there. Mr. Johnson's fees were comparable to the wages paid for these types of work in this area. I would not hesitate to hire him in the future.
Jorge did an excellent job painting my daughter's bedroom! I'm very pleased with it. He painted the ceiling and 3 horizontal stripes on all the walls with different colors. The painted lines were straight and he only took 1 day to complete her room! He told me 2 days, but he finished in 1 day. He moved and covered all the furniture and he cleaned up afterwards. I would definitely recommend him and use him again for other painting projects I have.
When I was transferred from Texas to Maryland I bought a charming 2-story Victorian on the historic register -- with major structural issues caused by old termite damage. I had no idea how extensive that damage would prove to be. In desperation, I flew J Oxford and one of his men to Maryland to fix the damage. He leveled the house, rebuilt the floor joists in the kitchen, added 2-1/2 bathrooms, moved the kitchen, turned the back porch and storage area into a family/dining room and made that house a jewel. Before he left, I asked him to build a small guest house. Maryland is very strict with permitting and building inspections, and his work passed every inspection the first time. I sold that house and returned to Texas in January 2005. I immediately purchased 3 foreclosure houses that were in the most deplorable condition I had ever seen. Interior Finish Systems inspected each house before I bought it and assured me they could bring them back to life and up to code. I just wish I could post pictures. I paid $10,000 for the first house that we called "the nasty little sh**t hole". The 3-bedroom house was wired using just two 20-amp breakers with open splices throughout the attic. It got all new wiring and plumbing and a major makeover. It was beautiful when they were through. The inspector said it passed inspection better than the new houses in the area. I paid $15,000 for the second house and discovered the aluminum wiring had actually caused some little fires in the walls and the plumbing and the roof leaked. Again IFS worked their magic and it sold the same day I listed it. I paid $13,500 for a "camp house" with a view of the lake. It was unlivable by anyone's standards. IFS completely renovated the house, added a 600 sq ft master bedroom suite and a large covered front porch complete with ceiling fans. It sold for $107,000. I then purchased a 4th house for $20,500 that was advertised as "more than a handyman special." It sat empty for over three years and had been stripped to the bones by vandals. It also had a huge tree through the garage compliments of Hurricane Ike. After Interior Finish Systems worked their magic, it was such a beautiful home that I moved into it myself. Their service was professional and creative, and when I wanted a wall moved or a last-minute change, they were more than accommodating. After I moved into the last house, I hired them to build a large two-story shop in the back of the property. I would never consider using another contractor. Once you find a contractor you can trust, that will be your contractor for life!
Phil's crew painted 4 rooms, one ceiling, closet and all the downstairs trim and doors in basically 3 days with amazing results. Our house looks brand new. The crew was polite, neat, professional and communicated well throughout the entire project. Phil was great also - he came right out and gave us a quote on the spot that was very detailed and broke out the cost of each part so we could how much to do at this time that was within our budget. Everything was top notch from start to finish!
