Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Work with an agent that is knowledgable of the area you are looking to buy or sell and be comfortable with with your Realtor. Ask their background and ask for references.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I would want to know as much as possible about specific locations and current market conditions. If I were buying, I would like to consider resale value of the area I was looking. School ratings and community is very important and differs from one location to another. As a seller, I would want to know truthfully, what is going to sell my house. Other than price and location, what are some things I can do to make my home shine over the rest.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. The number 1 question to be asked is how available are you going to be for me. Will you answer your phone and return my emails. Communication is key when working with a Real Estate professional. If there is no communication you feel left out in the rain. Once you have communication, everything else falls into place. As a buyer, you want to make sure you are being heard for what YOU are looking for, not what your agent thinks you want. Ask how your agent will help you choose the right location for your needs and wants. After speaking with them, they should have a good idea of your specific desires and be able to help guide you in the right direction.
