FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Alpha Pool Service service and repair technicians attend training seminars from equipment and chemical manufacturers as often as we can get them scheduled. We believe continual training is very important.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In the mid 1990's I was a licensed electrician repairing a pool light for a customer. The customer talked about her service company for the better of an hour, and not one thing she said could be considered as flattering. Her horror stories made me curious, so I began to look into what it takes to be in the swimming pool service and repair business. I was surprised to find that anyone can start a pool company with little or no training. That scared me. I contacted many of the equipment and chemical manufacturers and had them teach me how to properly install, repair, or use the products. When I felt comfortable, I started my own pool service and repair company, and soon merged with a service only company that had been in business since 1983. It still bothers me how many of the service and repair company employees in the DFW area receive so little training to work on such expensive investments for homeowners.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Alpha Pool Service has hundreds of weekly cleaning and service customers. We perform repairs and remodels for those customers as well as hundreds of other repair only customers each year.
