Caleb S. says, "I have been playing guitar lightly on and off for 30 years. I have been around guitar enough to somewhat discern talent and skill. When I decided I wanted to start over and learn classical guitar from a professional teacher I went hunting for a great teacher. Before starting lessons with Peter I met with a couple other guitar teachers and gauged them against others I have known. I chose Peter because I found him to be everything I was looking for. Peter is smart. He is both a highly skilled player and a talented teacher. He is dedicated to teaching guitar vs teachers who don’t primarily play guitar or teachers who don’t have any training in guitar pedagogy. Peter is a great communicator in general, which has helped us navigate my complicated schedule and tailor my instruction to my needs and interests. Peter seems to be flexible and realistic with the curriculum he devised for me and the goals we set. Peter has a great personality for teaching. In the journey of developing guitar skill, I think he is a great guide. He knows the art, he knows how to teach it, he knows how to do hard things, how to overcome challenges, and he has a deep trove of experiences to draw from in lessons. My lessons with him have been fun, helpful, and well structured. For the kind of guitar playing I am interested in, my search is over, Peter is a great teacher."See more

Gurleen K. says, "Scotty is singlehandedly the best guitar teacher I have ever hired, and this statement comes from someone who has been taking guitar lessons since 2011. What sets Scotty apart is his remarkable ability to listen attentively while simultaneously pushing me to surpass my limited knowledge of the guitar. Instead of relying on rote memorization, he instills in me a deep understanding of the instrument. One of the things I appreciate most about Scotty is his knack for tailoring our lessons to suit my individual needs and aspirations. This personal touch truly sets apart Scotty's teaching style and ensures a unique experience for each student. Furthermore, Scotty is incredibly accommodating when it comes to scheduling. He understands that life can be unpredictable, and if I ever need to cancel a lesson, within the 24-window notice, he is understanding and flexible. Additionally, he goes the extra mile by sending me detailed notes after each session, allowing me to practice effectively and make progress between lessons. Scotty's supportive nature creates an environment where I feel comfortable enough to sing and explore my creative side. Above all, Scotty's genuine passion for the guitar shines through in every interaction. I consider myself incredibly fortunate and honored to be his student. Thank you, Scotty, for your dedication and expertise. I eagerly look forward to our upcoming lesson on Wednesday!"See more

Professional online guitar coaching for players who want to sound like the real deal. Hi, I’m Ryder Green. I’ve been playing guitar for 20+ years and performing professionally for the past 10. I teach the same techniques, practice methods, and musical concepts I use as a working guitarist to help you develop better feel, confidence, and musicality—not just memorize patterns. My goal is to help you reach your playing goals efficiently while building the right habits from the start. I specialize in blues, rock, classic rock, country, improvisation, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, and developing expressive, musical playing—with blues serving as the foundation for many of the concepts I teach. I’ll also help you avoid the common pitfalls that slow most players down. For players looking to level up, I focus on the touch, phrasing, timing, and musicality that separate technically capable guitarists from truly expressive musicians. Who I Work With: • Intermediate players looking to break through plateaus and develop a more professional sound. • Motivated beginners who want to build strong fundamentals. • Intermediate/advanced players looking to improve their musical expression and overall playing. How I Teach • Practical application — learn how to actually use techniques, theory, and concepts in your playing. • Lessons built around your goals — no cookie-cutter curriculum or unnecessary exercises. • Clear practice direction — focused assignments designed to create real improvement between lessons. What You Can Expect • More confident, expressive playing • Better rhythm, timing, and feel • Improved touch, phrasing, tone, and technique • A deeper understanding of how to make guitar playing sound musical Why Students Work With Me • Learn from a professional guitarist who actively performs, records, and applies these concepts in real-world playing. • Complex ideas broken down into practical steps that make sense. Lesson Options: Intro Lesson: $50 Online Single Lesson: $85 Monthly Coaching Plan: $320 (priority booking, most students choose this) 3-Session Jump Start: $225 — Three 1-hour sessions to get new players moving or provide intermediate/advanced players guidance Deep-Dive Mentorship: $200/session or $725/month Extended 2-hour coaching sessions for serious players focused on tone, phrasing, improvisation, theory, and developing your own musical voice. Availability Tuesday – Friday, 10am–6pm PST Limited weekend slots Lessons scheduled weekly, typically in month blocks based on your availability I work with a limited number of committed students so I can give each person focused attention and consistent progress. If you’re ready to become a more confident, musical guitarist, I’d be glad to help!See more

Jared S. says, "Growing up, I had very little exposure to making music. I had no idea how to read music, I had no sense of rhythm, and I had basically no idea what music theory was about. With that said, I had been plucking on the guitar for around 10 years and had been working on some pretty complex songs. The results are that I could play some cool stuff really poorly (I remember trying to play the theme from Pirates of the Caribbean and someone thinking I was playing Flamenco). Austin was able to meet me where I was at. He spent time walking me through music theory, how to use a metronome and what different rhythms should sound like. He also walked me through the sheet music of several pieces that I had wanted to play for quite some time. I slowly developed confidence in playing the pieces that I loved. We shifted our conversation from just playing the right notes to expression. I found I loved playing guitar even more when I had control over how the guitar was speaking. I got a taste of what is means to be a musician. Austin's expertise and approachability both shine through in his lessons. He was always very kind and patient. I never felt dumb, even when my understanding of a topic was remedial, and I could consistently feel Austin's enthusiasm when working with me. Studying with Austin is an easy recommendation for me to give!"See more
