FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
People should be comfortable with the person who is taking care of their pets, so the customer and I have a free consultation before anyone has committed to anything to make sure it's a good fit for them, for me, and for their pet! I am very thorough and have a questionnaire form where the customer can fill out any and all information regarding feeding, allergies, behaviors, medical conditions, emergency procedures, etc.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I successfully owned and operated a petsitting business for 2 years in the greater West Los Angeles area. I have been certified in Pet CPR and First Aid (twice.) From January 2014 to April 2015, I was the General Manager at the Coppell location of Camp Bow Wow, a dog daycare, boarding, grooming, and training facility.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved animals, so this type of work was a natural progression for me. I spent some time on the corporate side and while that has some advantages, I missed being around pets all day and have gravitated back to that. Life is short and if you can find something that makes you happy, I think you should go for it!
