How do I find someone to fix my sprinkler system?

You can find a sprinkler repair professional by conducting a little bit of online research. This gives you access to their ratings and customer reviews. Some customers will even submit photos of their sprinkler systems that were fixed by the pros. But before you hire a professional, contact them. Ask them questions about their expertise, tell them about your sprinkler problem and request free cost estimates.

How do I increase water pressure in my lawn sprinklers?

Figure out why your sprinkler has low water pressure and determine if you need to make any repairs. There could be an issue with the valve, a leak or the sprinkler heads may need cleaning. If the water pressure is low in your house as well (check your water pressure regulator), the problem may be with the municipal water supply.

Why won’t my sprinklers pop up?

Several problems can prevent sprinkler heads from popping up. For example, here are a few possible culprits:

  • The valve is partially closed.
  • There’s dirt, sand or debris between the sprinkler’s cap and riser.
  • There's low water pressure.
  • There are leaks in the water line.

Contact a pro to help you diagnose the problem and repair it.

Why is one sprinkler zone not working?

One sprinkler zone could be malfunctioning for several reasons, although the most obvious one — a closed valve — is often the culprit. Check to see if the main system valve is closed. It’s easy to forget to turn this back on after repairs. Other causes for failed sprinkler zones are electrical issues within the valve, timer, wiring or solenoid. A common reason is a bad connection that needs to be re-soldered.

Rafael from SantaMaria contacted me on Thursday night and set up a time to come out Friday afternoon. He took a look at the sprinkler head and leak. He fixed thebT-joint and replaced the sprinkler head in 10mins. He then put the dirt back into the hole and then tested the sprinklers. He also noticed standing water on top of the water meter box about 20 feet away and suspected a leak. I agreed to let him check it out and make the repair if needed. He dug out both the utility box for the sprinklers and the meter box (for the city of Lewisville). He found that on of the hose lines joints were lose and tightened them up. Additionally, he found a leak in the City water line coming from the street into the sprinkler system. He advised that we call the City if Lewisville for the repair because they own everything in front of the water meter for water lines coming into the house. We called the city of Lewisville and they came out about 30 mins later andInformed everything that Rafael
