I've been taking lessons with Chad for several months now and have progressed faster than any time in the past 5 years I've been playing. Before taking lessons I could play most songs I wanted to, but it was merely muscle memory. Chad teaches the theory behind all music genres and you become a musician, not just a guitar player. When I began lesson I played primarily metal, but through Chad have learned (and to my surprise enjoyed) concepts in jazz, country, rock, and metal. He has broadened my view of music in directions I would never have pursued on my own. Chad is a Texas Tech University school of music graduate, which means he is formally trained and not just someone who can play a few songs and teaches from his living room. I highly recommend Don't Fret Guitar Studio to anyone interested and at any skill level. You will find Chad is an amazing guitar player and better teacher.

My brother and I have both been taking lessons from Chad for about 15 years. Anybody who takes lessons from him will tell you that he is so much more than a guitar teacher. He is a mentor, a friend, he is just an all around awesome person. Musically, he is the most knowledgeable person that I have ever met. With music degrees from Texas Tech University, he has a long background studying a wide range of genres and styles. My lessons with him have evolved over the years from originally just learning the basics of how to physically play the guitar- to nowadays we focus on music theory, composition, recording, and performing. DFGS is a state of the art facility with all the tools you will need to learn how to become a competent musician. I always get so much out of my lessons with Chad and look forward to many more years learning from him!

This is the BEST place to take guitar lessons!:) Ive been taking with Chad on and off since I was around 14! (Im 26 now) and he has honestly changed my life! Musically yes, but he has been one of THE most influential people in my life and has inspired me to pursue music as a full time career:)I taught here for a couple years and everyone here is so nice and knowledgeable:) Chad has helped me through any questions or songs Ive wanted to learn and when I hit a lull and dont know what to learn next hes always got something up his sleeve to teach me and connect how music works which I think is one of the best things about this place its not JUST music or JUST learning songs or chords, Chad and the other teachers will help you understand how music comes together and why!:) sorry for the longest review everbut I just really cannot express enough how much this place has changed my life!:)

Great instructor. I've been playing guitar on and off for years because I really couldn't grasp it, but Chad really put it all together for me. Whether you're just beginning or want to brush up on your guitar skills, this is definitely the guy you wanna go to.
