I moved from a small 3 bedroom townhouse into a larger 3 bedroom home. I had a few large, heavy pieces of furniture, lighter furniture and a lot of boxes. They are reasonably priced and the workers did well at caring for my property. The move was on the first day of the flooding rain. Some pieces got wet, luckily nothing was ruined. During the move, one of the washer hinge balls was lost and the lid was completely off. I explained that to Mr. Meza, he came by my house, ordered the part and I was able to fix it. All in all, I recommend this company for moving services and I appreciate Mr. Meza's professionalism and willingness to fix the issue.

Walter and his business partner Harlin are top notch professionals who have a great blend of professionalism and being personable. I hired them to dispose of some old furniture and they arrived on time and ready to work. Engaging from the start, Walter and Harlin was there to help to the job and to help with any of my questions I had. I found them both both to be fair, and honest which helped me to make the decision to hire them for a moving job I'm in the middle of. Alamo City logistics is multi faceted and no your ordinary moving company. I will use them and refer them to my friends and colleges who are in need of packing, moving and disposal.

First time I ever hire help online, so I was apprehensive. Cynthia and her crew were awesome and very friendly. Handled my furniture with care. PLUS it helps when a woman handles these type of projects because it definitely made me (65 yr old grandma) feel so comfortable. She drives directly behind the movers and communicates with her crew via radio throughout the trip. LOVED HER AND MOST DEFINITELY WILL USE HER SERVICES ANY TIME I NEED HELP! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER TO EVERYONE! Thanks Cynthia!

The 2 movers who helped us were amazing! Adrian and Kenny knew exactly how to pack the truck so our furniture wouldn't move, they wrapped fragile items and they worked fast! They packed an entire 16' truck in and hour and a half! Best moving experience I've ever had. Thank you!!

How much should you tip furniture movers?

Moving furniture is hard work and potentially dangerous unless you’re properly equipped. For anyone not ready to handle their heavy oak armoire alone, professional furniture movers can safely and efficiently move your items to another room in your house or across town as needed. The national average cost to hire heavy furniture movers is $150-$200 per hour. This rate could include multiple furniture movers working as a team to move items such as beds, armoires, billiards tables, pianos, shelves, tables, entertainment centers and more. Hourly rates can vary by region. If your furniture movers have arrived on time, done a great job, kept your home and belongings protected from scratches and dings, and completed the move as planned, a tip will be greatly appreciated. Moving companies suggest approximately 10 percent of the total bill as gratuity for those doing local moving jobs, which is also a good guideline for tipping heavy furniture movers. If the total bill for heavy moving was $100 and two workers were onsite, consider giving them $10 total, or $5 each for a job well done.
