We work with a wide range of issues and would love the opportunity of helping you reach your goals. Sessions range from $80-$150, depending on the length of your session and the counselor. Deciding to start marriage counseling is never easy. I was nervous and wanted to find the right person. I wanted there to be a balance and did not want someone who would take sides. I wanted a true professional who would help us increase our communication skills and have a better relationship. We have been to counseling in the past and it only made things worse because it seemed like we would fight over the problems we would discuss in counseling. This time, it was different. We learned how to communicate, listen and understand one another in a whole new light. Im so glad that we made the decision to try again and at this time we chose the right counselor and the right place. Im glad we went to A Safe Place to Heal.

We have had an excellent experience working Jeana! We were seeking marital counseling because we felt like roommates. Things are so much better now! I don’t think we would have made it through the quarantine if we had not started counseling months before all of this happened. We have been able to find joy in the extra time together because of the work we did in counseling. We have learned how to better communicate, appreciate one another, and also have our individuality. I think one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my relationship was contacting Jeana with A Safe Place To Heal.

I think what I like best about working with A Safe Place to Heal is how easy it is to get in touch with my counselor. It seems like nowadays its so hard to get your healthcare provider on the phone! All I have to do if I need to change an appointment or ask a quick question is send a text message directly to my counselor! With everything being so automated now, thats unheard of these days and its so frustrating! But with A Safe Place to Heal, the counselors give you direct access so that you can reach out to them if you need to schedule a much-needed appointment, move something around, or simply ask your counselor a question. It makes life so much easier rather than going through a system where I have to hit five buttons and end up leaving a voicemail then watch my phone for the return call. Its the little things matter and in a counseling relationship its even more important. I really appreciate the professionalism and accessibility offered by A Safe Place to Heal.

I complete continuing education annually. 12 hours per year is required by the board. I typically do more.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I took a psychology course when I was 19 and I just knew I wanted to do something in the helping profession. I researched options and decided I wanted to be an LPC my sophomore year at Texas A&M.
