Hello, everyone! We are the Sadlers. We have been teaching music for over 40 years (guitar, voice and piano) and performing for much longer. We continue to study music every day.
Scott graduated from Kennesaw State University with a BA in Jazz Guitar. He has been playing guitar since 1990 and has had considerable experience in most genres of music, from classical to folk, and from rock to jazz. He has also had extensive performance experience. Scott's passion is teaching. He has an extensive background in music theory and has a knack for making learning fun!
Paige graduated from Berry College with a BA in Music, with vocal emphasis. Paige started singing on stage at the age of 5. She has been playing piano since then also. She has extensive performance experience, ranging from opera to jazz, and rock to country. Paige's passion is instilling a love for music in each student she teaches.
This summer, we are offering specialized classes in music theory, songwriting, acoustic duo, playing lead guitar and jazz, piano and voice lessons. We are also available for entertaining, both together and as individuals.
Here is a little about our teaching methods. First, we strive to tailor lessons to the individual student. Different students are looking for different results in lessons. Some students are looking for a more involved result, such as music theory and improvisation, utilizing scales and arpeggios, whereas other students are looking just to play or sing a few songs with their friends.
We look to inspire any student to what they want to learn and show them what they need to know. Also, we try to empower every student in ways that they can teach and improve their results by themselves. We believe each student should feel success at whatever level he or she is. We also believe in the encouragement of one’s talent and potential to its fullest without stress or burnout. We strive to inspire motivation, with personal involvement on the student’s part. Students should be treated with respect and be expected to give respect to others.
Whether you choose us as teachers or someone else, remember this: when playing any instrument, the more time (practice) you put in, the better your results will be, and remember to be consistent with the topics you focus on. Play through your practice regimen, then take a small break and repeat.
