My association with Rob began somewhere in the 90's. He has always been very accommodating, attentive and skillful at his craft.
Initially,I was quite surprised at his range of musical taste and production/recording styles. I will always trust his ear and respect his gear. He is truly a pleasant professional.

Working with Rob was the most perfect experience that Insinnerator could have asked for. He recorded, mixed, and mastered both of our releases, and did an amazing job on both of them. The great thing about Rob is that he wants to GIVE you the best experience you can have, and he wants to improve his own work. Before we recorded our new EP, he told us that this was going to sonically blow our first effort out of the water, and he wasn't lying. Rob's also great at listening and understanding what you want in your music. If you're like us, and want a classic, organic production, Rob will give you that. But if you're more into modern, really clean production, he also can and will do that. Rob will also push you and work with you to get better. He will suggest taking a short break in order to regain your confidence, and it really works. He's not in this just to make money and press a button, he's fully interested in the projects that are brought to him, and that is what we were looking for before we picked Rob. He is such a pleasure to work with, and we truly do look forward to working with him on our third release. Very affordable, very fair, very professional, and very fun. He is a great choice to go with!

My band Loyal Sally has recorded 2 eps with Rob and we couldn't be happier with the outcome! We consider Rob a member of our band, as he really takes ownership of the projects he records. We can't wait to record our next album at HSD!

I was referred to Rob from my friend Kuwn Dalini R.I.P. I was telling him about my studio issues and he told me for months about Rob but I blew it off lol. Well desperate I went lol and wow. Our first session we knocked out a song and mixed it in one hour. I recorded the whole song in 7 mins. He knew what I wanted to do before I could say it most times lol. Recording with Rob is like working with a psychic recording engineer lol And the studio rates are great :) I recommend him to anyone recording music.

I have been working with Rob for a couple years now. He runs a good business and makes you feel comfortable in his studio. Don't think there is a better place. He puts out an outstanding product and does it quickly.

I'm a Cash Money Records recording artist and I am recommened to the best in any country state or city. My brothers from Ruff Riders was talking about this guy and I wanted to learn more. I will be glad to work with him in the future.

I have worked with Rob for over 15 years and he has always produce a product I have been extermely satisfied with. The product is always of the highest quality and completed in a timely fashion. Others I have worked with have done substandard work and I had to have Rob reproduce the produce.

We in SILVERTONGUEDEVIL recorded our album Pornographic Scripture at HSD Studio in the late summer of 2011, and it was a great experience. We'd worked at other studios before recording demos, some of them very high dollar, but we got the best product out of Rob. Not only did he do what we asked of him, but he had good ideas of his own, and that's a hard combination to come by. Money is always an issue for a band, but the amount we spent recording our album was money well spent, because we got a professional product we are proud of. Highly recommended.

I have been recording with Rob at HSD for more than 10 years and absolutely love this guy! When I'm recording, I feel like we're a team and his vision is just the same as mine. The studio has a very comfortable feel and the vibe is always great. Whether you are recording a whole project or just a demo, I highly recommend Rob. I always leave with bangers!

Awesome attention to detail and flawless results. I was in the studio for 30 minutes and we were able to record a single song demo without hiccups. Rob is an expert and I will be using his studio in the future!

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We do whatever the client needs from us. From Tracking, editing, mixing, to mastering. We produce beats, help bands with rewriting songs, even remake beats for people looking for a very particular sound. If you need it, we can do it.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Be sure to listen to samples of the engineers work and discuss your project thouroughly before booking any time.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I would just want to know the "rules" of the studio I hired to ensure a smooth session. Maybe have an idea of some basic terms beforehand. For example: the difference between a delay and a reverb.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Do you have samples of your work? Are you familiar with the genre of music I am wanting to record? How long have you been engineering?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. The most important things to think about before contacting a studio are: What are your ultimate goals? What do you want from the engineer? Do you want someone to just push buttons and do what you want, or would you like someone that helps you along and gives pointers? Whats your budget? Do you have studio experience? This helps the engineer a lot. This way we know where you might stand and how far we should go with our advice.
