Nancy and Lee provided PSAT prep for my son, and they met with him twice weekly. Nancy and Lee gave my son the confidence and knowledge needed to complete the test and he even thought it was easy this time! They are very knowledgeable and my son liked his sessions, so we will use them again to study for the SAT and ACT.
Experience with Mr. Lacara starts much before the first class. He gave the name of couple of books that he will be using and asked the children to do a test before his visit. He then sat down with my children and analyzed their performance on the test and was able to guide them accordingly. We are looking forward to more help from him in improving the scores on SAT/ACT. He is a well organized person and brings lot of value to the table. My children are grateful to him.
Excellent SAT and ACT tutoring.
"A patient, intuitive and smart tutor who really connects with me" Sandeep is an expert. He exceeded my expectations. If you want the best and if you want the best results, go with Sandeep. Sandeep is an excellent tutor. He was extremely thorough and quickly found my weaknesses. he was extremely valuable when he focused on my weak points and we worked together to improve them. He also helped me write, edit and proofread my college applications, essays, resume and cover letter. I had a wonderful experience with Sandeep. I really enjoyed my sessions with him. He is brilliant and he connected with and engaged me and truly made SAT prep fun and positive for me. I was also looking for someone to help me write my personal statement for my college apps and to polish up my cover letter and resume. I was looking for someone with excellent writing skills. Sandeep knows how to how to present my strengths in my essays and applications. I also worked with Sandeep remotely for a while (phone, emails & fax) and that saved a lot of time. Since Sandeep's rate is on the higher side, I did not work with him initially, but after working with him, I know he's totally worth it. Having worked with other tutors in the past, I can say that Sandeep is the tutor and writer you need if you are looking for the best. Don't wait.
Tutor Revolution is absolutely fantastic!!! I have worked with Ashley and her team for about 5 years. Ashley has helped both of my sons during high school and still today for various reasons—STAAR, ACT, College Writing, Science. The success my boys have received from her academically has been phenomenal but the long-lasting confidence she has instilled in both has been life changing. I even have one child who is extremely dyslexic and after researching many programs and tutors, my son could not have received more outstanding results especially with standardized tests and STAAR! As a parent, Ashley has always valued and respected my input as well as willing to try new things and make adjustments for what is best for my sons’ learning. Tutor Revolution is the best of the best with making a difference and is by far the best for children.
My experience with Mrs. Willis at Christian Cottage Prep changed my life for the better. There was alot of work every day in subjects like math and English, which felt cumbersome at the time. However, now I am in highschool and suddenly I'm the kid everyone is trying to copy off of. It's difficult to fail with this program because Mrs. Willis gives you 1 on 1 attention with every lesson. Even if you fail an assignment, she will tutor you on the side until you completely understand the material on it and she'll even let you make it up. I'm not going to pretend that there werent days I finished my homework and didnt see the sun in the sky. But thanks to all that work in Algebra 1, I have a better grasp in math class and I dont have to strain as hard as others do to understand what my Pre Cal teacher is saying. I also have to give Mrs. Willis credit for my PSAT scores, the colleges that saw my PSAT scores and are still blowing up my email, and that my writing skills are above 98% of Juniors nationwide. Thats not my ego talking, thats what the PSAT said. My ego would tell you I'm above 98% of seniors world-wide. Christian Cottage Prep is a prepratory school that left me well prepared for highschool, college, and life. And while Mrs. Willis wasn't my favorite teacher, she was the best teacher I've ever had.
Professor Casario began tutoring our son (11th grader) three weeks ago and already he has improved his writing skills in his high school English class. Dr. Casario is professional and works to really get to know her students on a personal as well as academic level. Our son looks forward to "learning something new" in every session with her. We look forward to seeing our son's SAT scores in the spring. She is an awesome instructor.
Varun was an outstanding tutor for our daughter's ACT prep. After just a few hours together she raised her score by 5 points which translated into additional scholarship offers!
AMAZING! Michael is a master at teaching the fundamentals in how to take the ACT or Sat exams. He methodically goes over in a pragmatic way what tools can be used to be successful at taking these exams. He is a delight and very good at what he does. Highly recommend him!
Before finding Brittany, our family had gone through six other tutors and tried a few different agencies. My daughter Maggie had not done well on her SAT and had struggled in math as well. Brittany worked with her over eight weeks to cover each section in depth and really helped her to understand the material. My daughter retook the test and her score improved 370 points! Brittany has so much experience and is so great at working with our daughter to get to the root of the problem. We recommended her to all of our friends with children in high school. If you need help with test prep for your students, she is the tutor for you! Brittany made Maggie feel so comfortable and helped her so much with understanding the material, that we kept her on as a weekly tutor for math and chemistry. She is such a bright and compassionate young girl, we feel so thankful to have her in our lives!
Mrs. Blojay helped my daughter make progress in several of her math classes, especially in Algebra. The customized plans she developed for my daughter accurately identified the learning gaps that had impeded her grasping new concepts. While working on the learning gaps, my daughter was better able to grasp and understand the concepts presented to her. As a result, my daughter kept pace in her math classes and successfully completed them. Equally important, my daughter made acceptable math scores on college entrance exams and gained entry to college-level math classes without having to take non-credit prep math courses. Mrs. Blojay also provided a foundation of problem-solving strategies that assisted my daughter throughout her college years and into her current profession. As a retired educator (math teacher and guidance counselor), I can appreciate the efforts made by Mrs. Blojay in assuring the successful outcome for each student she encounters. Her comprehensive approach to "meeting the student where he/she is" and providing understandable, knowledge-building steps to "where he/she should be" is highly beneficial and satisfying to the student. Students who have received tutoring from Mrs. Blojay met or surpassed the required passing scores on local school and national assessments. As a result of receiving help from Mrs. Blojay, students have thrived, succeeded, and gained self-confidence in learning and using math.
Dylan is the best tutor I could've asked for. He knows the test really well and actually offers insightful tips and strategies during his tutoring instead of just making you do a bunch of practice problems again and again! He takes the time to get to know you and makes the tutoring process both enjoyable and beneficial. My SAT score raised 110 ppints and I used the strategies he taught me on the ACT and I got a 35!! Honestly could not have had a more positive experience.
My daughter is a student of Ms. Zhong from A to Z College Prep. She has had a phenomenal experience and I can definitely see an improvement in her academic studies.
Very good follow up from Club Z! It is worth the money for us to have the convenience of a tutor that comes to you and works face to face with your child.
My son is in 10th grade and a bright boy. However, with ACT tests coming up, we wanted him to reach his highest potential. Through the Chelsea International Getting Into The Ivys test prep program, my son has excelled so much so that he is up to go to Stanford. After doing 6 weeks of private tuition with Dr. Michelle, her patience, understanding and encouragement, has driven my son’s greatest results. He scored 34 on his first time taking the ACT and he had no prior ACT testing experience. I am so impressed and so thankful for the professional experience of Chelsea International.
We take the stress out of test prep; instead of teaching students how to “hack the test,” we equip them with the fundamental skills of critical thinking, communication, and collaboration to enhance their understanding and problem solving skills in all domains. Students can start our customized program as early as 7th grade and as late as 11th grade (12th graders enroll on a case-by-case basis only). At Vanguard, our mission is to enable the future leaders of the globalized world to meet their full potential. We commit to providing meaningful and encompassing college preparation that regards each student as an individual.
I am a high school senior and have been tutoring students for ACT for about 7 months now. I have a personal score of a 36. I am very proficient on the concepts and strategies needed for this test in all the subject areas. My method involves mastery of basic testing concepts along with practice tests. My timings are very flexible, and I'm able to work on weekends. I will be able to tutor in the public libraries and will provide all materials. Other subjects are available.
I majored in mathematical engineering. I have an Iq of 189 and can bring you to where you need to be
My passion for tutoring stems from my father, who always emphasized the importance of helping others and "not" for an exorbitant amount. I began by helping out my father when he tutored, and working with students has been an ongoing occurrence since then. I'm a recent University of Michigan graduate with a degree in Business Administration. As a resident advisor and academic advisor on campus, I learned to appreciate helping others and gained valuable experiences from doing so. I specialize in SAT/ACT test prep, but I can also tutor English, writing, reading, and mathematics independent of the standardized tests. This includes essay writing. I have helped over a dozen students with admission into colleges and universities, both at the undergraduate and graduate level. Additionally, I can help out with the PSAT. Since I also work full-time, I'm not in this for the money, which is why I charge significantly less than the majority of tutors (we can negotiate the rate). I will work to create an individual program for the student's success based on goals that we discuss and lay out. It will be completely personalized to make our tutoring sessions as beneficial for the student as possible, and will allow the student to maximize learning throughout the week. I am committed to the student's success. I work beyond just the tutoring sessions and strive to help you achieve your goals. Beyond being dedicated, I am incredibly enthusiastic, patient, and understanding. To me, tutoring isn't about exploiting people for money they might not have. It's about helping the student grow and develop (and hopefully get into their dream school!). I'll be here for the long haul, and will help your student until they end the college application process. Beyond preparation for the SAT/ACT, I will help prepare your college applications, too. I am flexible in terms of meeting locations, but prefer the student's local public library. However, I am happy to travel to another location if that is more convenient for the student. My availability is limited to weeknights and weekends only, unfortunately, but I am flexible within that time frame.
Excel in SAT and ACT today! I offer test prep and tutoring for SAT and ACT. SAT and ACT classes are available in Dallas, Irving, and Forth Worth centers.
I have taken four different SAT and ACT test prep classes to master as many different strategies as possible. Now, I tutor in math and English skills to high school students with a focus on applying those skills to the SAT, PSAT, and ACT + writing. I was homeschooled in high school and specialize in helping home-educated and private-schooled students get the grades they need to earn major scholarships. At first, I searched for the best test-taking strategy, a "silver bullet" for the SAT and ACT. After months of study, I realized that there is no single solution. The best strategy depends on your natural talents, the scores you want, and how much time you have to prepare. Together, we can find the best strategy for you! I use a service called frog tutoring to make payment and session booking easy. Learn more about me from my profile there or here on Thumbtack to decide if I would be a good fit for your situation.
